I just wanted to introduce myself. I am Michelle but, you can call me Chellie (Shelly). I am also a new co-leader and hope to work with the other leaders to improve this Team and to help it be a place everyone wants to participate in.. Not as just another "I have to go post in this group...***yawn***". So feel free to offer suggestions if you'd like.
I would like to have the rescued dog lovers to be more active. I have recently became the co-leader and it seems like everything I try the team is practically inactive. I would like to have new active members. I am also hoping to handle stress and tests easier. We are also looking for a home when it comes to a Tammy cat. He is less than 1, but is not fixed, he lives under my house in Baltimore, MD, friendly, and have 2 injured paws. He was starving, but we have taking care of that part.

Cyrella - that's great that you dance and you got outside for some fresh air. I know exercise always helps me when I'm anxious. I do feel calmer. Try to push yourself to be social and to do things. I know it's hard. Also, when I'm anxious I try to tell myself that I have no control what life brings. Take one day at a time.
My grandson is doing well. He such a cutie. Thank your for asking.

Hi Camille: I went to the DR on Friday. My blood pressure was high and no wonder why I was feeling the way I was. I have to take meds for it and water pills. Life goes on I guess to get healthy. I can do my dancing I like to do which I began doing for a little bit. I have to get into doing more of that. I like that. I don't do yoga or tia chi. I know these things relaxes the mind. I went out today for a short walk and it was nice out. I needed to get out anyway. I belong to a place that helps people with emotional difficulties but I don't go very often. They do have socials on the weekends. I wanted to go tonight, but decied not to since I was not feeling too well during the week. Better to take it slow. It will be cold tongiht, too. I have to take mass transit to get there. It is located in Manhattan. I live in Westchester County, NY. That is all for now. Thanks for your concern. Hope all is well with you. You were not harsh. I know what you meant about talking about anxiety and how we can help each other. It is not easy having this and sometimes it is good to talk it out. What type of depressing topics were discussed on the team? I joined a few weeks ago and don't know what has been going on. I think people who have anxiety also will talk about things that are depressing them. That also goes hand in hand with everything. I get depressed at times and my anxiety level tends to get high. I was dizzy for a bit for 3 days in a row. It could be anxiety, hormones or both. I found out I have osteoporosis. I believe that was triggering my anxiety, too. People on Sparkpeople have a lot of difficulties and talking about things might be an outlet for some. There is a team for depression as there is a team for Bipolar. Sparkpeople has it all. Changes I would like to see are more positives for us sparkers who suffer from anxiety. I felt this team tended to discuss depressing topics. A picture...maybe the sunshine? a serene landscape???? People with anxiety need to be serene...perhaps we can start a yoga challenge...

Hi Tara: Congratulations on becoming a co-leader for the team. That is wonderful. I know you will do a great job. I was off from work today and glad. The weather was horrible. It is windy now as I am typing. Hope you had good weather. As far as putting a picture, maybe something like bar bells LOL to help motivate to get us moving. I don't work out much and I should. I used to use the tread mill a lot, so if you have a picture of that, you can put that in for a picture if you want instead of bar bells. I think that would be better. Anxiety and Excercise certainly do go hand in hand. I get anxious a lot and I have to do my breathing excersises. It does help. I also like to walk and did the other day to a bus stop about a mile away. It takes me 25 minutes to walk. Not much is going on. I am glad you stopped in to write. Take care. Be well. Cyrella

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed but I've become a co-leader because I didn't want this team to become unactive without a leader. The think is, I've never been a team leader for SP. So I'm looking for suggestions that you would like to see for this team (particularly a team picture- I would like to put something in that currently grey box).
