Had an awesome day yesterday. I seen Courtney and Marci Crozier again and got to meet Olivia, Hannah and Irene the 3 finalist of BL11 and also met Alex from ABC's Extreme Weightloss Makeover..... Great people!

Okay so eat crow this week
The blue team really tried this week and came through with a good enough weight loss
And finally did think they voted out probably the right person from the red team
Courtney was kind of a weak link and although it is taking Vinny some time to get going think he really needs to be there now maybe he will take it serious
It is going to be hard to beat the black team

The new St. Bernards Health & Wellness Institute "on Matthews Medical Mile in Jonesboro, AR/My town" is havin' their ribbon cutting @ 4PM on Tuesday Oct. 25th.
Patrick House will be there!!! (Biggest Loser Winner!)

ABBEH23 I really hate those crying scenes too. I sympathize but it irritates me when its too often. I especially hate when a girl comes on the show and their main reason to be there is "i've never had a boy kiss me, never had a bf....." SERIOUSLY!!! Be there for the right reasons..... HEALTH!!!

I've also thought of auditioning when they've come to Chicago but I am a single mom of 2 teenagers and I just couldn't leave them for that long. I need to make sure they're doing what they're supposed to in school with college around the corner. Besides I do not have the financial security to be able to do it anyways.

I've only watched since the season with Sam & Koli. I love it, it's very inspiring. (Although I will say that I do tend to fast forward over the long, drawn out, crying about my childhood parts...not that I don't sympathize and absolutely understand myself...it just is kinda broken-recordy.haha)

Not loving Anna either. Really like the new guy trainer though, he seems really on his game and like a great trainer.

Funny story, I actually auditioned for the Biggest Loser a few years ago. It was in Boston and I waited in line for about 6 hours and then they put you in a room with 7 other people and all 8 of us together had 2 minutes COMBINED in front of 3 of the casting directors! So, you had to really get yourself out there to shine and make them SEE you!

I've thought about trying again because I feel like since I had all my heart issues (at age 32) I could maybe really inspire and be a good lesson for people. I just wonder if they wouldn't want to take me on BECAUSE of my heart condition now....but I wish they would!

So true Amy, I love the BL regardless. It's always educational to me but some seasons I like more than others. So far season 5 is my #1, followed by season 11. This new season not feeling the new trainers either. If Bob leaves too I think the show may go downhill. I kind of wished they would have left Cara and Brett there.

I love the biggest loser...BUT it's changed so much since the first season, I still watch it, but it's not the same since Jillian left...I love the new man trainer, Anna can go back to tennis tho! I'm not to impressed with her yet! Bob is awesome like always...I have a feeling he's gonna be leaving soon tho...anyone else have that feeling?

I really think they need some more OBESE women tho...yeah some that are over 350 pounds! They have guys that big...why not women too??

I'll be watching tuesdays....not sure who I like yet...I can understand how the middle aged group feels with wanting to get fit before they are in the later years...and I can see how the older folks wanna get fit...and I can also see how the younger group should have respect from the older and middle aged groups...they are all there to get healthy right?.....

Thanks for joining. I absolutely love the BL. Next week I am doing something exciting for a change, kind of dare-devilish. I am going to this health & fitness event in IN where Courtney and Marci Crozier from season 11 are going to be at. I am a big fan of TBL! I'm a total dork, but before the new season starts, I kinda do some "scouting" online to see who I'll root for...haha. I pick someone closest to my age and weight and the person closest to me in distance. So, this season I'm rooting for Jessica and Johnny. :)

So whose signing up to watch the Biggest Loser new season 12? starting next Tuesday 9/20/2011. I love this show! I love to see how they push through and break free. How they discover how strong they are and all of the hidden potential they have. Not so much for how much they lose in such little time although great I wouldn't try it at home. Sue, they work out their asses off. They work out for about 4-6 hours a day plus I assuming eating better.

Of course we will not lose it like that but we can get educated and motivated in the process of watching them transform their lives.

Amy was a sweet girl and I feel so bad that she got screwed by Vicky but we all knew that if Vicky had the final vote that she was gonna knock off Amy. I am so proud of Michelle and Renee that they were able to beat the blue team and lose 18 lbs together. That is absolutely amazing and they both look great. My whole favorite part of that show is the end when they show the before and after photos. I hope it boils down to Renee and Michelle at the end.

I could not believe Amy did not send Icky Vicky packing!! vicky is so very evil and such a mean spirited person. Even Ed said she was crazy. I wonder if Amy was afraid of reprecustions from Vicky even after Vicky went home. I felt bad for Colleen. Maybe Amy felt that Colleen was more of a threat to her that Vicky. And can someone explain to me- If it is every man for themselves than what is the purpose of the teams?

I can't stand Heba! I hadn't actually watched the episode yet because I was afraid it would be another black team member that got sent home. I am so glad to hear it is Brady. Vicky is awful too. The reason they have it out for Phil is because Heba started this whole, "Phil has it out for me" conspiracy. She thought, at any given second, that Phil was going behind her back to "run the show" when it is perfectly clear that Heba thinks it is her job to run things. EUUGHH! She reminds me of a bully I knew growing up. Anyway...Heba ate the most calories in a temptation to be able to split the contestants up into the black and blue teams and she deliberately separated Phil and his wife Amy. She is just not a nice woman. Anyway...now I can watch it and be happy that the black team prevailed because they are such good sports. They are playing the game but playing it with some class. :)

I love that show! I was so very glad that Brady was sent home. I feel he, Vicky and Heba are bringing the shows spirit down. Always in the past everyone wants only the best for the others at the ranch. They are just mean spirited. I am not use why they hate Phil so much. I must have missed something. Can anyone fill me in? I would love to see someone on the black team win. They need to get rid of Vicky and Heba and Ed! emoticon

Well this is a GOOD thread!!! I had to work Tuesday night, so recored the Biggest Looser finale. HOW EXCITING , how INSPIRATIONAL. ALL OF THEM ARE BIGGEST LOOSERS AND BIGGEST GAINERS.... I mean they lost the weight and GAINED their health and lives.

Just AWESOME to have a WOMAN win in all! It is so much harder for a women who just does NOT loose as fast, and usually doesn't have as much to loose.

Percentage of weight loss is how much you weigh divided by how much you used to way.. one percent for me is 3 pounds for most people it's one pound.

Roger was first to weigh and he lost 15. Then Mark weighed and lost 14 I think. Then was Ali who lost 12 and Kelly who lost 13. It was amazing. I voted for Mark 4 times (for everyone in my family). :) I can't stand Roger and I think Ali has a better chance of winning the whole thing if she's up against Mark and Kelly versus Roger and Kelly.

The men lost between 15 and 16 pounds a piece. The women lost less but stayed above the yellow line because of total percentage of weight loss. I don't remember exactly. But I do think it's all about the difference in scales.

Last time they weighed was on a different scale in australia. So it seemed they all did terribly. This week back on the old scale they did amazing. I blame the scale this time. It was wonderful to see the women wrench control from the men. The Ali before and after pictures shock me. I imagine I look like her before picture quite a bit. could I look like her after one day.. I am definitely looking forward to the Finale.

Product placement is big on this show. However, Most of the stuff they are promoting ARE truly related to weight loss so I am cool with it. When they cave away the SUV, wasn't that cool. I'm sure the car company paid for that product placement with the vehicle. And Glad and the gum people are probably paying the price. Imagine what the price to advertise on that show must be -- astronomical!

Have you guys noticed how throughout the whole show they kept adverstising products both the contestants and the trainers. That makes me think they tape over and over to get it right; subway, oatmeal, popcorn, extra gum, gladlock bags, etc...

The men got too relaxed with their strength in numbers. If a woman wins this it would be amazing. I hope Jillian keeps up the positive work. I am losing patience with the TV drama though. I think Ali needed to just see the men for who they truly are. They are way too cocky. I think their strategy backfired horribly because it put a big spark in the girls and they tore it up!! I'm glad he is gone, he was too arrogant and it was messed up what they did to Kelly. Also, last week he let go of Brittany when she was the least threat and he could of gotten rid of Jay and then this week he was worried about the one pound pass and how he wanted him to take the money??? How Dumb is he? He could of sent him home last week. It is a competion but don't look down at other people. Besides he is young and did really well I am sure he can do as good on his own. On the other hand Kelly still has a long way to go. I like to see her be there as long as possible. The same thing with Alli she complains about the man but she voted for Britany last week too. Did you ever wonder WHY at a certain point in the show the men STOP removing their shirts at the weigh in? Could it be loose skin from dropping the weight too fast. Hmmm. They need to win so the can afford the full body lift they are going to be needing.

I love the show. It's inspiring. However A pound a week is plenty plenty plenty.

Brittany and Ali looked amazing. When I am all done losing weight, I want to look like Brittany. Her weight when she got voted off is my goal weight...maybe even a little less. I completely hear the girls though...men have a huge advantage because of the metabolism factor. I mean...one of the guys lost 100 lbs in 10 weeks. That is crazy!

My DH is appalled by the unfairness of Men against women. He is completely put off by that. He doesn't watch the show. He comes out of the office at the end and says. Who went home this time.

I loved the make-overs. Didn't everyone look fabulous. When I get my hair cut it only looks shorter.

I was so surprised that Alli voted off Britanny. These people forget this is a competition and instead of voting off who ever can get on the way of them winning $250,000 they vote off the one that is the least threat to them. Next week it will probably be Kelly gone. This blue team still acting like they are a team still and when it down to the 4 of them we will see how much of a alliance they really have. But comforts me in knowing that Britanny is a strong girl. Kelly needs to still be there. I don't think she's emotionally strong to do this on her own yet. She is looking great too. They all look great. I can't wait till it is me looking great like them.

I didn't understand the sodium deal but Brittany usually always pulls those kind of #'s. She's a tough cookie so I am sure she will come back with a vengeance.

Oh I'm so upset that Brittany went home. I was really rooting for her. I wonder if the salt increase did her in , or if her weight would have been the same or worse without the change in sodium. Either way, she did a great job. I just received a message from 'her', surely someone posting for her due to the show stillbeing on air. Received a message from her on myspace today, she's on my friends list and she has some pics up. I love watching BL every week. Usually do my treadmill for 30 minutes while I watch, but not tonight.

They sent my girl Brittany home tonite. My two favorite people are gone, Bernie and Brittany. Brittany inspires me. She tries so hard, she is so competetive and she still never drops big #'s. But its okay she is going to make it. And other girl Maggie is going to do great as well.

That's true! I don't know why the host directly asked Brittany this out of all people there. I think it is so unfair they brought these 2 people back who by the way the girl has done alot better on her own than the girls who are in the ranch getting the 24/7 attention. Plus they are weighing at nite after having those LAST CHANCE WORK OUTS, I thought you always weight more after a work out and at night. oh well. Have to wait till next week. At this point who knows who is leaving. But whichever of the girls it is I hope they go home and really get motivated to kick some phat butt for the finally.

Didn't the host seem unsympathetic when Jillian asked her to Blankety Blank give the poor girl a break? The host is not seeming sweet at all. It's funny potty mouth pushy Jillian is coming off as having a heart. Bob seemed pretty dumb saying that it was a fair fight at this point.

I was POd when they didn't show who got thrown off last night. They spend so much time on reaction shots at the weigh in they couldn't fit it in. I feel like a loser because this stuff bugs me, But I totally didn't eat over it last night. I was a good girl and did deep breathing instead.

two hours and they throw in a cliff hanger, They just make me crazy.. I'm stopping my after lunch coffee maybe that will help.

Who here watches that show? Did you watch last night when Bernie almost made it back in? I really wanted him back. He is such a sweetheart. I feel so bad for the 2 girls in black team, they just have a hard time dropping those lbs. Brittany is so competetive I just cannot understand why she doesn't shed those lbs. And Allie I am proud she has done so well on her own after being sent home, She lost drastic weight and looks good but with that it seems that she gain this superiority complex. I didn't like the way she was with Jillian but was hanging more with the opposite group.
Anyways, i have never followed this show before but this season I just have been hooked. It motivates me and helps me face my fears of weighloss. I started watching it at the same time I joined SP and between the both I have been kept motivated so far. Even when I have my bad days.

Do you like this show? I think it is very educational and motivational while some things also seem unreal.
