Thank you so much for the replies! I'll give the compost a try in the morning. I'll keep you both updated if it works!

I grow several different types of tomatoes each year but never had a mr. stripey.
While at the farmer's market today, I asked a farmer that sells them
and was told several things -- to make sure you have no disease on them,
remove the bottom suckers of the plant if there are any, and to keep them
watered (better to water same time each day and not at night) but not to over water them.
Also it was mentioned to watch and see if the bees are getting to them
and if not, to plant a small flowering plant close by that will bring bees to it.
They also said for good measure, you might want to put a shovel full of good compost dirt
on top of the dirt around the plant or plants and mix a "little" apple juice in water
and pour in the dirt but not get water on the leaves.
That was all that was mentioned -- except that if you planted a little later in the season
that it may take a little later for them to come in, but you should already see a few blooms by now even if the fruit is not there.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Some types of tomatoes do not set fruit as well in high temperatures as others. This may be the case with the plant that is not setting fruit, if you are experiencing the high temps that many of us this summer.

Greetings Everybody!

I have 5 tomato plants (all different varieties), all getting the same amount of sunlight, water and fertilizer and 1 of them is not producing any fruit. Lots of flowers but nothing comes of them. The plants next to it are producing like crazy, the plant itself looks healthy and strong, but nothing! This plant is a Mr. Stripey if that helps any.

Any ideas what would cause this and I'd love any idea's how to fix it.

Thanks In Advance,
