Depends how many and what seeds you put in them. Check out some instructions (and an overfondness with the military metaphor) here: http://www.guerrillagardening.org/ggseedbo

For anyone in a rush - the seed balls are mixture of seeds (LOTS), fertilizer, and some clay mixed together & hardened. You just drop them on top of the soil where you want them to grow - the clay around the seeds gradually breaks down & the seeds are settled into that area w/a sort of covering AND food. So you get a good, thick turnout of plants. I love them - easy peasy!!

Stay calm and carry on.

I found a link for the seedballz at The Garden Basket and also bookmarked the site. I will go back to it this evening. I am definitely ordering the poppies and the black eyed susans.

I have seen seed pellets, seed that are enclosed with fetilizer and other stuff.
They are about the size of rice.... especially great for teeny tiny seeds.

Haven't heard of a seed ball.... unless this is what you mean.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

Last year I put out seed balls. They're pricy, but they produced an incredible amount of poppies. I was very pleased with the outcome. Has anyone else used them?

Stay calm and carry on.
