Yes & no. I've had a lot of adversity throughout my time at SP in terms of getting consistency with program. . illness & surgeries & family crisis.

One goal very nearly reached. As many of you know I had a total knee replacement in April. As I type this, a little less than 2 wks from the New Year, my knee has made such great improvements & although not what I would have wanted, these improvemnts were expected & I'm very pleased with that! Yaay!

Stay calm and carry on.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

I didn't reach my weight goal, but after a lot of physical therapy, my hands are usable again and I can sleep through the night. That's huge progress, considering where I was last year at this time.

I had to modify my walking goal because of my back problems, from 300 miles to 200. I should make 200 this week. I'm happy with that.

I lost about half of what I planned, but with surgery and a visit from my parents from Germany. I still don't like exercise to much, but am getting better.

Lets all have a wonderful 2010 and lose what we haven't yet.emoticon

Sadly, no. I just gave up this year and wasted it. 2010 will be my year, I am already working on getting my eating and working out back into my routine, so I should be able to finish what I started two years ago.

My goal this last year was to become better friends with exercise and I have done that. I was not an exercise person - would avoid it like the plague but this year I have come to love exercise - especially riding my stationary bike which last year at this time I referred to as "the bike from H---".

This year, thanks to Jo, my goal is to loose that weight and 1# per week seems manageable.

We can do it and I do appreciate the opportunity to continue on my journey with you all.

I am very pleased with myself over the last year.
My goal was to lose one pound a week.
That seemed like an easy goal.
Of course it wasn't as easy as it sounded.

Sometimes I did and sometimes I did not!
Sometimes I lost more then one, sometimes I gained more then one!!
But perservence won out....
I have lost a wee bit more then one pound a week for the total year!!
52 weeks in the year - I lost 57! (with two weeks to go!!)

Thanks You Sparks and all of my new friends!!!

We only have a couple of weeks left in 2009. I thought it would be fun to check in here and let everyone know how you did on your goals for the year of 2009.

I have maintained my weight and I have reached my goals as far as exercise and building my muscles. I know I am a lot stronger and have more stamina then when the year began.
So how did everyone else do this year?

"You're never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream..." C.S. Lewis

“Don't wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.” ~Mark Victor Hansen
