Hi and welcome. No, we're never alone. Being on Spark People has made me realize that there are A LOT of people just like me and they are all here to support me.

God grant me the serenity to change the things I can, to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Hi and emoticon Kathy! So happy to have you with us. I am here to tell you there is hope. I too have bipolar and anxiety. In 2000 I had severe agoraphobia, afraid to leave my apartment and didn't go out for a year except to dr appointments. With the help of a good psychiatrist and therapist I was able to overcome it. I still have my moments where I want to hibernate at home, but they are less frequent. You are so not alone, even though you feel like it. I know it can feel lonely, especially if loved ones are not supportive or don't understand. You can get your life back. Check in often and ask questions. There are a lot of people on this team that can relate and offer hope. I hope you will find relief soon. Take it one day, one moment at a time.

emoticon emoticon and Blessings,
Cynthia

Hi my name is Kathy and I am new to dealing with anxiety team. I was diagnosed in 1994 with depression/bipolar and severe anxiety. Right now I am again going through not being able to leave my house I can't even go into my front or back yard. I live with a houseful of family but I feel so very alone. I want my life back...I am so tired...Kathy
