You may not be having the adrenaline rush that goes with anxiety and so your body is trying to rest and recuperate. If you continue to feel exhausted even after you finish the finals check with your DR. just to make sure there are no other issues going on. on your 5K
Kansas~ CST Each step taken is a calorie left behind!
Congratulations on your first 5K! My guess re: your exhaustion, based on what you've shared and my own experiences, is that finishing the 5K was a big joy and relief, and your body's saying woo hoo, we did it, time for a break - especially if your training for the 5K was more strenuous than your usual workout. Congrats on finishing the semester, too, by the way! I've noticed more exhaustion when I've begun exercising more, but not so much when anxiety's better, although my anxiety med. can make me sleepy. Hope this helps - best wishes! You're almost there!
It's finals time. Normally, I'm so wired up at this point, with just over a week left, that I'm bouncing everywhere and such. But this semester I doing better on my anxieties. I've got this. I know I do. But here's the thing. I'm EXHAUSTED. Normally, I'm wound so tight that energy is not an issue...the anxiety keeps the mind going...just not always in the right direction.
