I'm bringing up this post to check and see if there are areas you'd like us to cover on our posts. We're here as a group of great friends and we want to make sure everyone is feeling the benefit and support of each other and covering things you'd like to see on our posts!
I would like to know if there is anyone else who has experienced exercise induced panic attacks. Currently I'm not able to vigorously exercise due to rehabbing a knee after surgery, but prior to that my main form of exercise was a home elliptical machine and light weights. I know walking is always promoted as an ideal form of exercise, but almost every time I try walking, I reach a point (even when I vary my walking route, time of day, etc.) where I hit the "derealisation" wall and freak out. The same thing has happened when I've joined gyms - I'll be fine for a while, then one day it's like I've entered the "fog zone"....and I can't bear to go back. I'm curious to find out if I'm the only one this happens to.

I think it would be really great to have a motivational reading thread--somewhere we could share books and articles that have helped us learn to manage and cope with our anxiety. I'm always looking for new reading material, and I've just started reading motivational books, so it would be wonderful to have one place to go to for suggestions!
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." --Philippians 4:8
SHORT-TERM GOALS: 1. Drink eight glasses of water each day 2. Eat at least two servings of fruit or vegetables each day 3. Exercise for at least fifteen minutes each day
I would like more threads on lessening anxiety and panic attacks. =) With me, they usually occur out of no where, although I can guess the internal stressors that cause it. The physical sensations drive me crazy. I'm not a meditation person so vigorous exercise and kickboxing helps me, but sometimes I feel that I need other alternatives for those times when I can't run away and exercise.
It's check-up time and I just wanted to know from you, our friends, if there is an area or topic that you'd like to add to the Team!
If so, please reply to this post and let's do it! Let's get that anxiety level down-down and down and we can do it! We're a super group of understanding friends -- so what better way to show that friendship, than to share!
Ideas??? More games, recipe swaps, dealing with certain areas of anxiety, etc.
