You've received alot of good info to help -- but how about a mantra! When the flashback comes -- repeat over and over to yourself 3 words! I use "pray, love and support." Calmly say your words to yourself -- pick out 3 words that relate to "calmness" and "peace" -- or, try mine -- they reinforce your spiritual feeling-- PRAY knowing that God is there with you and He'll see you through, LOVE life and SUPPORT others around you that you love. Give it a try and see what happens. I hope our ideas help you and you can feel relief. Take care, hun.

In the meantime, it's always helpful for me to know that I control "it" (the anxiety), it doesn't control me. Even though it feels like it sometimes. I CAN calm myself down if I put my mind towards being calm and not concentrate on the escalating anxiety. I bought some CD's from a place called healthjourneys.com that the therapist recommended to me. Some are for stress, some anxiety, some PTSD and many others. I pop one of those in and concentrate on that soothing voice and try to block out all the other voices.

I am really going crazy right now...I have been having alot of flashbacks the last couple days, most recent being 11am today...I have also been having alot of bad dreams too...I just dont know what to do, I dont know how to deal with these...I know this isnt the first time I have had these, but I havnt had this many in 3 days...if I have another night of bad dreams and another day of flashbacks I am going to lose my mind...anyone have any suggestions on how to control these? anyway...thanks for the support.
