I started off getting B12 shots and my doctor then told me it was ok to start taking a B12 vitamin. Ive never noticed increased anxiety after taking them. I've also heard that B12 helps with anxiety too. What other vitamins and supplements are you taking? It could be a combination of things that you take that is causing the problem.
I also wondered if it was all these vitamin and nutrient deficiencies that cause our anxiety. I watched a PBS show where the guy said we have anxiety cause our bodies and our mind are not aligned. We are deficient in nutrients and don't get enough fruits, vegetables and low fat dairy. He also recommeded this regimen of supplements: Multivitamin, B12, B6, Folic Acid, Fish Oil.
On a side note I've heard taking magnesium helps control anxiety as well. It supposedly is natures beta blocker.
