Not exactly sure, but I had always taken it to be about a teaspoon.

When we feel stuck, going nowhere~
even starting to slip backward~
we may actually be backing up to get a running start.

That sounds right to me- a thin slice. I guess it is to small to measure by the lines on a stick of butter.

I usually use very thin slices of butter and on my nutrition page I usually just count that as a "pat" but I don't know if that is correct.
