Great advice, I may check in on them myself. Thanks
Finances my poor husband has been trying to decide what we're to do. Because of his income (it's low but not low enough) I can't get SSI. We had an unexpected $7000 bill....arggggg
We're going to go through a Dave Ramsey course (free because our pastor has it - thank you God) and my husband is going to talk to an attorney tomorrow. I know where you're coming from and it causes all kind of anxiety which causes all kinds of body sensations which...well you know LOL
Do your best and there is a place you can use if you are getting collection notices - Trinity Debt - a friend of ours used them and she has great credit now.

I worry about finances too. I used to pay all the bills and handle allt he financial stuff in my marriage. Then through various trials, I gave if over to my husband. I can't say he is doing any better, but it took a load off. I realize you don't have that, since you are single. But I would definately set your self up a budget, or payment plan with the creditors. That helped me in the past as well. I usually took the least expensive bill and made extra payments on that on and minimun on the rest until it was paid off. Then move to the next and so forth and that did help. Again, if you get any bonus, tax refunds, or raise, take that extra and pay things down as much as possible. Good luck. and yes it is good to have a place to vent.
Good luck with it all. I don't know about your area but here, garage sales ended in September. That may have played into no one showing up. I am on a debt consuldation program that I set up voluntarily last year and it helped take a load off my shoulders. It helps to vent because you also ssound like you have some solid plans to sort through this too.

HANG in there.. your post to vent is a good idea.
it would be neat if you could turn some sparks points in for $$.
Aldi is a good place to get some food , can good are low low priced there. if you have one near you . prayers to you . it is nice to have a break in the gas prices..
I realize that it will probably sound like I'm just venting in this message. However, I figure since most of America is struggling in this area, maybe it would be a good idea to have someplace to just vent! Also, maybe we could advise each other on what to do. I'm single, and I totally rely on my own income. I'm usually really good with money, but I've had so many doctors bills lately that things are pretty rough right now. I tried having a yard sale yesterday, and NOBODY showed up. I didn't have the money to advertise in the newspaper, so I just put up signs. So, on to plan B. I'm going to call around tomorrow and see if there are places that buy old used books and second hand furniture. At least gas prices have gone way down (for now).
Take care everybody!
