And a wonderful Fourth to all my American Friends!
Hope you had a great day yesterday! We had a huge bbq at my sister's place - lots of food but I managed to 'stay the course' and even turned down dessert! The weather was perfect. As usual, I was able to see the fly-by at noon from my house - also we can see the fireworks on parliament hill from our neighbourhood, so it was a pretty good day.
Wonder why we don't have a Canadian Flag in the emoticons? I was going to write someone to ask them to add it, but couldn't figure out who to contact!
Happy Canada Day to you. Happy 4th to the others. We generally cookout at friends and then watch a fireworks display. We usually buy some fireworks for the kids to set off, nothing scary. We are headed to a friends house on Friday for burgers and hotdogs and drinks. We will also enjoy a swim in the pool. It is about 102 on average in Texas so the water will be awesome. Happy 4th.
Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians here!
And a Happy 4th of July to the many Americans here!
So how are/did you spend it?
I live in Steveston (Richmond),BC, which has a parade and a Salmon Festival every Canada Day so it gets packed full of people and cars and very poor drivers. It's a hot sunny day and it's just too busy and crazy out there for me to enjoy it, so I just stayed home and listened to the NHL free agency frenzy on the radio and TV. I did have to venture out for a normally quick trip to drop my daughter off at a friend's house, and it was madness!
