Distractions for sure. For me it's reading a good book, or just watching TV or a movie. If I'm really anxious I sometimes exercise just to get it out of me. Hot long relaxing showers/baths are nice too.
Distractions help. If I am at home, I clean, talk to my hubby or have a good quiet time in my room. Praying and reading my bible. If I am at work, I find stuff to do to keep my mind off of it. If I can't do that, I use self talk. "Why do I feel like this"; What is making me feel this way; Is is really that bad;etc.. It really helps me, I also do a pros and cons list of the situation. I hope that helps.
It's been a really awful couple of days, really, and I was just wondering what all of you do to prepare/headoff anxiety attacks and panic attacks. Right now I'm trying to keep it under control but it's hard and I'm looking for more strategies from people who know!
