That is a lot to carry on your shoulders. Wow, surgery and moving. Some top stressors there. Try not to be too judgmental of yourself and give yourself a break, you're dealing with a lot!

That gum idea sounds like a good one. I've never heard of that for stress, just as an appetite suppressor.

Video games are a good distraction too, and I don't have Wii but I guess that would be a great way to physically and mentally relieve some stress.

I'm glad it's helping and thanks for the good ideas too!

I know that the surgery is causeing some of the stress. The whole I have no idea what is wrong thing. Then there is the interview my husband had today in NY. It looks as though he got the job....a good thing but that means that between now and April next year we will be moving / separated. The kids will go up there in September so they can start school but I have to stay here in VA cause I am still active duty. We will have to sell this house, and buy another one up there. So much to do and most of it alone. Other than those big things it is just the day to day stresses. Right now my mom told me to chew gum when I get stressed out. That sorta works.....at work it should help. At home though I have found an outlet. Wii.....I can box against another Mii if I need to release some stress.....or I can box against my Daughter on there if she is causeing the stress that day....and that way I am playing a game with her but still releiveing stress....so far that seems to be helping a little.

And good news...I am back down to 166...it was just a temporary weight gain.

I assume you are still exercising regularly. Has your diet portions increased? You know the tricks, drink a lot of water before you eat that might help along with exercise.

As for de-stressing, try music or sounds of nature, or whatever usually works for you, and get enough sleep if you can.

It's hard to say how to help, do you know what is causing the stress and how are you dealing with it? Is it the upcoming surgery?

I have a fitness test coming up next month and can't deal with this right now. I need to loose this 4lbs I have put on in the last week and a half. Got any ideas?
