I use an online to-do list utility called Toodledo (www.toodledo.com). A free account works well for me but they also have premium/paid accounts where you have file storage space allotted and it will calculate metrics based on historical data and also make recommendations about what you should do (this could be handy if you've got half an hour and no idea what on your to-do list you want to try complete. It will look at how long you normally take to complete a task and then recommend a course of action based on how much time you tell it you have to spend). There are also lots of iPhone and Android apps that interface with it so that you can use your phone to keep up with what's going on. I think I paid $4.99 for the Android app I use, which is a lot for an app but not a lot considering how much I could spend on a normal shopping trip.
