First race of the season for me, a 5 miler. Holy hills batman!!!! It was so not what I am used to running (flat roads). This was through a vineyard on compacted dirt and a number of hills. What makes this WooHoo worthy...I kept my pace despite the hills :) Next week - Philly Broad Street Run 10 miler!!!

Did the Neighborhood Watch 5K on Saturday, April 20th and I got my sub 40 minute 5K walking! My official time was 39:17.6. :)

HEALTHYCHIC, good to see you back. I managed to get out for an outdoor run for the first time since November last year. Did pretty good, 4.5 miles. Winter just will not let go but this weekend is going to be actually Spring like... im so excited.
Ok, this isn't a race I signed up for (which I need to do), but, yesterday, I actually ran on the treadmill for 3 miles (not stopping for any breaks) at 6.6 pace (9:05 min mile!). That is huge for me. I felt so awesome the whole day. I couldn't stop bragging to my DH and kids. I've been running on the treadmill to try to up my speed and it's working. Now, I'm hoping to get outside on Saturday and see how well I do. Fingers crossed that I don't disappoint myself!!
I was finally able to go for an outdoor run Saturday and Sunday. It felt good but Saturday was tough. I live where I have a lot of hills so I only ran 2 miles but did 4 on Sunday. Felt great. Looking forward to this weekend to run some more.
