I ran/walked just over 500 miles last year (my first year). This year, I plan to run 700 miles (not to include walking miles).
I ran 787 last year. I hope to run 1,000 this year.
Aiming for 1000 miles here - =)

I've thought about this a few time as we head into the next year. I would aim for 1000 miles in 2013.
Now I am just waiting to finish my physical therapy and be given the ok to start running again.

Right now, my goal is to just continue running. I started with a 3x a week streak which I've been pretty good accomplishing. I've been having some side pain issues which hasn't allowed me to train for anything specific. Need to refocus and set some things up for 2013.

To be honest, I'm short. I set a goal of 1000 miles for 2012, it looks like I will actually finish about 900
On the positive side, it gives me a new target for 2013!

I'm still fairly new to running (it's only been a year) So I'm going to go with 650 miles for this coming year. I think that is an attainable goal.
Aiming to finish up at 700 this year. I am not sure what next year will hold.
One more day I run is one more day I stay healty.
I like this idea. Considering I only ran about 300 miles this year, I'm going to shoot for 600 in 2013. Thanks for the idea of a goal. I love this.

There is a lot of evidence on # of miles being an important component in running. Elite runners can certainly log a lot more miles than less competitive runners.
One number for one person might be over-training, but for another - a healthy number. Just depends on one's running fitness and goals.
As a master runner (63) I only run 3X per week. Next year I am hoping to add a 4th easy day some weeks.
2010 = 231 miles (lots of injuries to overcome this year).
2011 = 839 miles
2012 = will probably reach 860-865 this year.
Next year I hope to increase this by 10%. I would love to log 1000 miles in 2013. It is definitely doable for me.

I didn't set a specific mileage goal for this year. I am almost at 700 and feel great about that as a baseline. I will shoot for 1000 for 2013.

My personal goal is 100 miles per month, or 1200 annually. That goal encompasses all activities that can be converted to aerobic miles, not just running and walking. I haven't accomplished that goal yet, but I feel sure that 2013 will be my year!

I am trying to keep my mileage up to hit 1,000 this year Next year I'd like to log a little more - maybe 1,200 miles since I'll be training for a 30K, but I'll be happy with another 1,000 in 2013.

I didn't this year but I am next year. I'm shooting for 25-35 per week at least through April. I'm wrapping up the Goofy (half and full the next day in Disney) this January. I'll rest a week then it's off and running to train for the Country Music Half.

I did this year, and met it in October... then promptly stopped running. lol (pain issue, being resolved.)
I will set one of next year. I just haven't figured it out yet.

Does anyone track annual mileage goals? If so, how's it going with the new year right around the corner?
