I'm in...if you're still looking? I've been running off and on over 2 years now but lately I haven't had the motivation so since a family vacation in July I haven't been putting in the mileage or training. I usually ran about 15-20 miles a week with a long one on the weekends and would go to about a 5k per month and I completed by first half marathon last October. I really need to get back into shape for my upcoming fall/winter 5k schedule and the Iron Girl half next spring. I too need the accountability and for someone to understand why I get out there and run. I don't have a very updated Sparkpage, but feel free to use it and contact me if you're still interested.

I've been running since February, which may not seem like a long time for most but I was fairly nonathletic to begin with so for me it's begin a great journey thus far. I typically run around 15-20 miles a week (split up over a few days obviously!) I have one friend who keeps asking if I'm training for anything. I kept telling him no that I was just doing it for fun (which is true) but that planted a seed in my head. The past few weekends I've been running around 7 miles every Saturday.

To sum it all up, I'm using Hal Higdon's half marathon (novice 1) plan. I think I can skip the first couple weeks because I'm already at the fitness level. I'm just wondering if anyone wants to do it with me? I don't know many (any) runners around town so I'm looking for someone here to be a virtual running buddy. It would basically be for moral support and accountability as well as shared experience. I figured that this group would be a good place to see if anyone was interested!
