Since I can't usually sit still long enough to read a book, it's the best way. I have also listened to a SPanish lesson podcast during my runs.

what a great idea. I listen to podcasts of our local NPR and to a couple of other fun podcasts but a book is a great idea. Any favorites?

Absolutely! I subscribe to Audible (recently purchased by Amazon) and download 2 books per month, sometimes more. I play them as the "music" behind my tracking app on my iPhone.

I listen to audiobooks. It helps distract me from the endless miles. It also helps me look forward to my runs if the book is really good!!

I have used downloaded books. I also listen to running podcast. I prefer them to music because sometimes the music would have me running to a favorite song faster than I wanted to for my LSD.

You really pay for than at mile 18.

Have you ever downloaded and listened to a book during your training runs? My LDR are almost 4 hours (marathon training) and music is getting old.
