Definitely a good article and I think will speak to a lot of people. As I am an imperfect runner and have been one for the past decade, I think I'm finally starting to accept that running is "hard" at times but mostly due to it being self imposed. All the missed running I have had while training for a half marathon is completely my fault. So, I'm working on taking responsibility for it and understand I will have a slower time for my HM and have adjusted my goals to finishing within the timelimit as opposed to the time I had. I know it's going to be challenging but instead of giving up (which I have done before) and not even showing up...I'm getting over it and moving forward.
Next one will be better. Way to go motivation!!
