Running and especially races provide a good camaraderie. I'm looking forward to mine - my HM will be hot and hard as I haven't been able to train as hard as I have wanted to but I'm already looking to when I will do my next race after that.
I'm training for my first hm in oct. Part of the training is warmup races that the y is hosting. I just finished my first ever race a 10k sat. It was hot, it was hard... but that finish line felt incredible!!!! How satsifing is crossing that line. I want more races. Also it gives me a more definite vision of October's finish lines as I train.
