Go out and have fun! You have done your homework, now all you have to do is pass the test. Make sure you start out slower than you feel you should and don't forget to do a nice easy warm-up about 15-20 minutes before your race. Don't worry too much about pre-hydrating...drink to thirst, but do NOT force fluids. There is a big education push by the running community to educate runners about the concerns for overhydration, which is a far bigger issue, than being dehydrated (which most people are not). Use your urine as a guide...if your urine is pale yellow, you are hydrated well.

Thanks, TERID! I don't know if it is a big race or not!! I don't think it is, as the fee was only $8 and it's put on by a running group. But we plan on being there about 45-60 minutes before the race to register and stretch.

Hi everyone! I've got my first ever race tomorrow - a 4 mile run. Any last minute tips?? I feel like I am ill prepared!! I know I can complete it, but is there anything that will help? I have never done anything like this before and I'm nervous!!!
