With my (still) bum knee, we're doing the two mile walk route for the turkey trot tomorrow. I really wanted to walk the five since the physical therapist finally convinced me that running is out of the question for another few weeks, but I'm trying to be sensible (which is very difficult for me...). Between that, the usual dog walks (4 - 6 miles a day) power shopping on Friday and a trip to the Y Saturday night for Family Fun night with my "little sister" and the BF's two kids, I'll be getting a decent amount of activity, but still not as much as I'd like.

Sunday: 1/2 marathon Monday: off Tuesday: 30 mins. on stairmill at gym Wed: ST arms, abs and back Thursday: 5K turkey trot Friday: Black Friday shopping!!! Saturday: off Sunday: 6 mile run

I started my week away from home with my (first) half marathon on Sunday. I feel really good, but have rested yesterday and today. I will do a light run tomorrow and probably another light run on Friday or Saturday. We'll be driving home on Sunday. Then, I hope to get back to 'normal' - as soon as I figure out what my new normal is since I don't have my first half looming in front of me!

I will miss my Thursday run since we'll be travelling, but will get it in either Friday or Saturday. I started my taper this week, so I'm not as worried if I don't have time to get in a full run or if I miss one. I need to let my knees rest a bit after my 13 mile run this past Sunday. Since we will be at my parent's house, I may skip this Sunday's run and only run 3 days next week before my HM on the following Sunday. Will play that by ear. :)

Did my hill workout this morning and am playing underwater hockey this evening. Thanksgiving morning I have a 4 mile Race for the Pies, followed by an 8 mile run Friday morning, an ocean swim Saturday morning if conditions allow, and a 20 mile run Sunday morning.

Wish I could say I was sticking to the plan but, with all the cleaning, I'm so sore I can barely move. I hadn't planned on having Thanksgiving at my house but plans change and we need to be flexible. I'd let the cleaning slid in lieu of running so am now paying for it. Am doing a 3.25 Turkey Trot with my 8 year old grandson and hope to get more running in Saturday and Sunday. Going to be snowy, rainy and COLD.

Cardio: Walking up and down the supermarket isles... Running into black Friday sales...
Weights: Lifting the turkey out of the oven... Carrying the shopping bags on black Friday.
-5 Mile Turkey trot on Thursday am.
-Not making any fattening vegan foods and NO vegan desserts so that I won't be tempted.
-Sending everyone else to go to brunch and antiquing Sunday morning so I can get my 21 mile run in.

Sticking to my training schedule as my half marathon is the week after Thanksgiving (St. Jude, Dec. 4). So this is what it looks like, Monday-Rest, Tuesday-6 mile speedwork, Wednesday-4mile EZ run, Thursday-6 mile Turkey Trot, Friday and Saturday-REST, Sunday-my last long run, 10 miles EZ.

Running a 4 mile Turkey Trot Thursday morning, and since I am in charge of dinner, it will be healthy and simple. No leftovers, no stuffing ourselves! Happy holiday everyone!

My last long run was 14 miles last Friday. Wow, it feels good to say that. Now I need 16 this week. I am working from home (Mon-Wed I think) and this makes things more difficult. My man and I have work to get done on our acreage on his days off (Thursday - Sunday). I think it may rain so I guess I can make time. I am just more stressed when he is in the other room and I am running for 3 hours. Hum... Not sure how to best make this work.
