REDGLITTER,

Thanks for sharing your testimony. That was an awesome story. It shows how to persevere in a difficult situation. You go, girlfriend!

Congrats to you, REDGLITTER, on 30 years of marriage - these days that's something worth celebrating

Winslaywoo:

Most of us ladies have been down that hard knock road called men. But we have survived and so will you my friend. I won't go in details about my first husband but lets just say cocaine was involved and I was the last to know until after we were married. That marriage didn't last long either. Any kind of drug addiction changes a person and not for the better. I have been married to the husband I have now for over 30 years and I was hesitate to marry him even though I loved him because of the terrible experience I had with number one. You'll get over this in time and with the help of the Lord find your soulmate.

We live each day with the thought of a better tomorrow so lets make all of our tomorrows healthier and fulfilling.

Lindsay - women are nurturers by nature I think so its natural for women to be the first to try to make things work, even when the other party isnt willing. I am happy for you that you did finally see that it was best for you to move out and move on, and praise God there are no children involved because I do believe that would've made your decision much tougher. You're going to be just fine, my Sister - you got GOD on your side!

Thank you all so much for the encouragment. This has been the hardest thing I have ever had to do but it is worth it in the long run. I have tried to make our marriage work so many times but he just never was willing. He refused to go to counseling, saying he didn't believe in it which is funny since that is what I am going to school for. I am just thankful we never had any kids That would make this even more painful! Anyways thanks for all the kind words, they mean the world to me! :)

LINDSAY - wow! I am so sorry to hear about your marital situation, but praise God you found out before you'd invested so many years of your life. Its still got to be heartbreaking, I'm sure - I believe that all things happen for a reason, and I also believe that when bad things happen, there's something good waiting around the corner, so you stay strong in your faith and trust in God!

Hi everyone. I just changed my SN, it used to be LAKC33. I fell off the wagon there for a while but I am trying my darndest to get back on. Things have not been so good for me lately. I got married this past October and now I am getting divorced :( Things went downhill back in February, my husband and I had gotten in a big fight and he started text messaging a girl he went to college with, in a week they sent over 600 text messages to eachother and he even told her he loved her. Then he started drinking heavily and began verbally abusing me. Before we were married we taught the high school youth group at our church and in pre-marital counseling we both said we wanted 2 kids, now he says he doesn't believe in God anymore and doesn't want any kids. He is not the man I married and I don't want to live my life like this. I found an apartment and I move on Friday, I have met with an attorney and have begun the divorce proceedings. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
