I agree...I hate getting on the scale! It is very addictive, but the readings can't really be trusted! Pictures are a good way to measure your weightloss success.
A good way to measure to see if you've lost inches in your waist is by using a belt. See how far you can go today and then try measuring again in a week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 1 month, etc...

what a good idea! it's so easy to use the scale as the only method of checking on progress, but i think i'm going to use this as another method. (even though i've lost weight, i still have a long way to go. this will be such a motivator:)
That's a really good idea...I usually hate my scale, but I bet I'd be happy to see the results in a pic!
Jan. 30: 140 pounds
Feb. 13: 138 pounds
Feb. 27: 136 pounds
Mar. 13: 135 pounds
*GOAL TO BE REACHED BY March 13!*

So I posted before about how the scale is my enemy because I literally became obsessed with weighing myself and would do it several times a day and would be mad at myself if I wasn't losing weight. I haven't weighed myself since then. My health club has a scale and when I feel comfortable with my body and all my hard work, I'll weigh myself.
Until then, I am relying on photos. I took a photo when I first started my committment to becoming a healthier person in February. I took another photo today. WOW! What a difference. (I posted them on My Sparkpage.)
Anyway, so I suggest this to anyone who has issues with the scale like I did. It's another way to assess your progress, and I decided that I like it way better!
