Ladies, I know we lost some ladies. However, we are really doing an awesome job. Those Sizzling Steppers have taken it up a notch. Let's really push it this last week. Some tips from a Dashing Diva
Small changes can add up to large increases in your daily activity level. Here are just a few ideas to get you started:
- Park in the farthest space from the store or mall.
- Walk, run and play actively with your children or grandchildren.
- Mow your yard using a push mower.
- Take a walking break instead of a coffee break at work.
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
- Hide your remote and change channels the old-fashioned way.
- Put on upbeat music while you clean your house.
- Better yet, find your own rhythm and move to the hum of the dishwasher or clothes washer. Clean your kitchen and get some extra steps as the machines do the "dirty work!"
- Take up dance — ballroom, clogging, you name it. Most of us love music, and it's fun!
- Use a bathroom on another floor

I pray everyone had a great Easter and was good with their eating. Here are last week's mileage stats.
Cardio Catz: 333.73 Dashing Divas: 346.93 miles Gliding Goddesses: 309.84 miles Sizzling Steppers: 330.90 miles
So far we have accumulated: 1323.47 miles
Also, congratulations to those ladies that actually reached the weekly goal of 20 miles. Also, a super congratulations to those ladies that really went out on the mileage. Some of which reached almost 80 miles for the week.
Ladies, no matter how high or how low your mileage, all of you are stars. Remember, the purpose of this challenge was to get moving and watching what you eat. Keep going for it for you all are truly Women on a Mission. I cannot wait to see who will be the Breakthrough Women on a Mission! Will it be someone from the Divas? Will it be someone from the Steppers? Will it be someone from the Catz? Will it be someone from the Goddesses? Only time will tell. Keep it up, ladies. All of you are tremendous!

That's a great idea to post each teams weekly mileage. So, team leaders can you please post the teams weekly mileage by Sunday evening? I know we are on different time zones and some ladies post the next day, so try to get an estimate of the week's mileage. However, I will not announce a winner until the end of the challenge! It's another holiday, where eating can get a bit out of control. Again, this challenge is about discipline and making the right decisions. Just like some of the ladies suggested, you may want to plan your meals. If you know you're going to visit relatives, don't deprieve yourself. However, do not go overboard either. Eat in moderation. Enjoy your holidays and do not get stressed out about them. Make wise choices and get moving once your food has had a chance to digest. Remember, you are a WOAM and your goals are to lose weight and be healthy.

I worked out on the treadmill 2. 5 miles and the Elliptical for 30 min which is 2 miles ( 15 min is equal to a mile). That was my first time so I apologize for not paying attention to the miles I burned 367 calories and 437 on the treadmill. I ate 1650 in calories. It will not happen again.

Ladies,
Please remember, this challenge requires daily postings of your calories eaten, caloric intake range, and your mileage. This will help your team captains keep tally of the team's mileage as well as accountability to your posted caloric range. It looks like we have some very competitive WOAM in this competition. Keep up the great work ladies.
In addition, I know I am on a different team. However, I will play the role of overseer of each team as well as try to answer any questions. I want everyone to be successful on this challenge as well as lose some weight. So, ladies, let's continue to use this thread for Q&A sessions.
Again, this challenge is a challenge, but still have fun with it. Be creative in how you'll increase your mileage!

Good Evening to all Gliding Goddesses!!!! I'm sorry I haven't said hello prior to this but "Hello!" I started yesterday because I knew today I would be cooped up in the car for 5 hours. But now that we are back home from the parents and in-laws, I can get back into the swing of things!
