after some trial and error i found that weighing in twice a month works for me. every week is too little time and i see too much fluctuation but once a month is too long and saps me of the will to carry on so twice a month it is for me...

Thank you for your replies, it makes me feel a little better knowing that i'm not the only one not dealing so well with the scale, thanks for the great advice as well, i'll try to update on how weighing in once a month is going.. good luck to you guys too....
I USE TO WEIGH IN DAILY BUT THAT WAS AN UP N DOWN ON MY EMOTIONS WOULD GET TO ME IF I PUT EVEN A POUND ON OR HALF OF ONE I KNOW FROM DAY TO DAY IT CAN GO UP N DOWN A BIT .. BUT NOW I ONLY WEIGH IN ON MONDAY'S AND THURSDAYS .. THE DAY THAT COUNTS FOR ME N THAT I USE TO LOG IN IS ON MONDAY .. THE THURSDAY ONE IS JUST BECOUSE I CANT WAIT THAT LONG FROM MONDAY TO MONDAY .. I KNOW IM BAD LOL ..

I actually weigh about every other day. I know my weight is going to fluctuate daily so I don't ever worry about it. I can vary 5 lbs a day.
If you have incorporated strength training, muscles will retain water until they are used to the new activities. And make sure you are eating enough calories for the amount of activity you are doing. Eating too few can make you gain weight.
And don't make your success only about weight. The way your clothes fit and how you feel is much more important!!!

hi, i have been trying to change my lifestyle and lose weight now for the past month and a half, i started a nutrition and workout plan and have stuck to it mostly. since i started i have weighed in every week, but i found that this can really be depressing when there is no change on the scale or my weight increased. It actually got to the point that my entire week would be affected by the scale outcome for that week and it had the potential to wreck my nutrition and exercise plan. So now i have decided to weigh-in only once a month...Please share your experience about when you weigh-in to help with my motivation and see if there is a better way to deal with it...
