i have 1700 cal as my max eating a day and i've been averaging about 1500 a day.

so...maybe you can riddle me this:

why does sparkpeople have my daily calorie intake between 1600 and 1900 and my weekly burn at only 800? inquiring minds want to know.

Really oversimplifying it but...

You are eating 100 calories below the bmr so that's a total of 700 a week.

You burn 1400 a week.

1400 + 700 = 2100 which is less than 1 pound per week. You either need to burn 1400 more calories to get to the 3500 or drop your eating down by 200 more calories a day.

BUT - the great news is that you are counting so you have the power to do what is needed to get what you want.

i'm not sure i'm doing this right!

my bmr is 1804
i get 1400 cal burned through exercise a week (minimum)
i eat 1700 cal a day

so my calculations show me this:

1804*7 days = 12628
12628+1400 burned = 14028

weekly consumption: 1700*7 days = 11900

so that's a difference of -2128

BUT i need to burn 3500 extra cal a week to loose a lb?

help please!
