Is there anything else you can do right now?

Weight lifting (to keep the weight off), swimming, walking?

There's got to be something!

You can do this....we only get one day at a time anyway, so why not just do it right for today? Tomorrow, set a new goal for that day. I'm here for you, take good care of yourself and just do it for today!

I LIKE THE IDEA OF TEN MINUTE WORKOUTS RIGHT NOW.

LETLOOSE,

Remember, you are not alone! We have all been there. However, you may want to set SMART goals for yourself as you gradually get back into the groove. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely. So, start small and gradually work your way up. Try some of the suggestions the ladies posted and add more minutes once you feel you're back up to where you left off.

Stay in touch and let us know how you're doing!

Stevie

Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

No one can do what you are called to do, but you!

Great works are performed not by strength but by perserverance. - Samuel Johnson

I broke my tail bone about 8 weeks ago and lost all interest in exercise, in fact anything to do with weight loss at all!

I found a note that I had written to myself in a book that was given to me by my daughter. It said.
"no matter how hard things get, no matter was tries to stand in my way, I will find a way around it or over it" While it may not mean much to everyone here, the time I wrote this I was so prepared to get to my goal no matter what. I thought about when I had sat there and wrote it and the feelings of wanting to get back to that place come flooding back.

I worked on small steps per day and with each achievement came back my motivation. Baby steps in anything you do lead to a giant leap to success. Hang in there :)

I'm a catastrophic success

Great suggestions! The 10 minutes a day thing has worked for me before. Promise to do no MORE and no LESS than 10 minutes for the first week, and by the time you get to the second week, you'll be eager to do more.

You could also join a class, if there are any at a good time for you.

And whenever I'm feeling really demotivated, I like looking back at blog or journal entries from a point when I was super motivated. It kind of bridges that gap.

That sounds so familiar, the same thing happened to me and please don't wait as long as I did to get back into your regime.

We live each day with the thought of a better tomorrow so lets make all of our tomorrows healthier and fulfilling.

Good suggestion - the 10 minute plan actually works, too!

Don't force yourself to make a big commitment. Start with just 10 minutes a day. Once you get started, you might keep going. If you don't feel well enough then just do the 10 minutes that you committed to, and try again the next day with another 10 minute commitment.

Well, yes, 'just do it' sounds easy but I know its difficult. My suggestion is to get an exercise buddy to help get you back on track until you are confident of being on your own.
