Well, congrats on losing the pounds and shrinking the waist. I have no clue about the thighs though - can anyone shed any insight here? I'd love to know as well. I'd always heard that biking helps to give the legs definition, but nothing about bigger thighs.

Curious to see everyone's thoughts on getting bulky legs from bicycling? I have been riding my bike for one hour a day, 4 days a week for 8 weeks, and have noticed that, while I hae lost almost 10 lbs, and my waist has shrunk, by thighs are getting bigger! (I have actually gone UP a pant size in the legs) I've always heard trainers defending bicycling when women accuse it of giving them big legs, and Ive always beleived them, but now Im not so sure. My diet is healthy, it certainly isnt water weight...Should I ease off the biking and replace it with something else? Anyone else ever notice this in their own experience? Any ideas on other sources of fun (free!) aerobic activities that wont bulk the muscle?
