My biggest obstacle is the weekends...pure and simple.

I'm not to where I want to be "YET", but I'm sure a lot closer.

Don't listen to what others are saying if YOU feel you need to lose the other 10 pounds and if by losing them, it won't jeopardize your health. emoticon

My biggest obstacle is that people keep telling me that I don't need to lose any more weight....I have 10 pounds to lose...then I snack more.....

Sometimes it easier to grab that bag of chips instead of actually cooking something. I suggest buying healthier treats, so if you do eat "without thinking" you'll be eating better. Also, buy snacks for only you. I have "MOM ONLY" treats in the kitchen, so I don't have to worry about everyone else eating them before I get any.

I like that marching idea as well. My biggest obstacle at the moment is ME - I cant seem to keep my focus like I really need to in terms of eating right.

Thanks for the great "snack" tips. I appreciate it. emoticon

For those of us who are too tired to exercise I have a great tip. The next time you're watching your favorite TV show, set the timer for 15 minutes. March while you watch TV. After your 15 minutes is up, you can do more, but even if you don't at least you did something. Or another idea, do some form of exercise during the commercials ~~ walk around, climb the stairs, do crunches, do squats, etc. Hope this helps.

That's a BIG problem for me, too Jmack! It's so much easier to relax on the sofa after work or after dinner. It just seems so daunting to pop in one of my DVDs and work out for an hour after a day at work and the long drive home in traffic. And, if I wait until after dinner, I totally don't feel like moving!
I already get up at 5:00 am for work, so getting up at 4:00 am to get in my work-out isn't a viable option for me - I am NOT a morning person!

Biggest obstacle is fitness! I'll do really well for a week and then fall off the wagon for a week. I see some progress and then I think I can take a break and cut back and then the yoyo starts. I need some thing to challange me for working out more regular I really don't have any ideas on what that is but thats what I need help with. Monique

Hey, that's awesome Delcie! I was just watching the five fittest ladies in Calgary on BT. They all said that you shouldn't have anything but water or unsweetened herbal tea in the 3 hours before you go to bed for the night (or day). They also had some great snack suggestions: Instone Protein Pudding,
fruit, 1 oz. of nuts, veggies with hummus, yogurt, hard cooked eggs and Goju bars. I have found that if I really read my labels carefully and plan ahead, I can snack healthy all day. I bought those tiny snack-size ziploc bags and put either 18 cashews or 24 almonds in each bag (that's an about an ounce). That way, one baggie is a snack-sized serving of my fave nuts. I make hummus and on the weekend I cut up all my veggies like carrots, cauliflower and celery (my faves) and then I have lots of fresh, already sliced up veggies and hummus for dipping ready to grab when hunger hits. I also like unbuttered popcorn. I do it the old-fashioned way -organic corn kernels popped in a pot with a Tbsp of healthy Coconut oil. I salt it with sea salt right in the pot while it's still hot off the oven. I then put it in a ziploc bag and I can snack on it throughout the day. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the tip. My sleep schedule is very weird. I sometimes come home and sleep, other times I don't. I don't have a "set" bed time.
Last night I didn't eat at work. I'm so proud of myself. However, when I got home I was very hungry. So, I had a pancake for breakfast and plan to go to bed around 1pm, after my kids' dentist appointment. Hope everyone has a great day.

I find the ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD AFTER 8:00pm rule works wonders. Make it a hard and fast rule and use all your willpower to stick to that rule as if you'll be arrested and go to jail if you break it, you should find it makes a difference. If you actually work a night shift and sleep during the day, pack snacks/lunches as if you were packing for the day and then don't eat anything in the 3 hours prior to going to bed.

My biggest obstacle is work. I work overnights at a house and I'm always tempted to eat. And I don't eat healthy stuff, I eat chips. I have been doing better the last few nights, but it's still hard.

I tend to be at my hungriest after about 4:30 pm. I'd be snacking all evening if I could. So, to overcome this obstacle, I have a VERY STRICT no eating after 8:00 pm rule. It takes a LOT of will power - but, that's my rule and it IS working!!!

The late night munchies are tough for me too... munching in general is an issue, but it's especially a problem on weekends. It all starts Friday night for me.

What is your biggest weight loss obstacle?

My biggest obstacle is staying up late w/ late night eating in toll!

Please share your biggest obstacle/challenge, because this is going to help me with creating February's challenge. I have an idea, but I want to see what you, ladies, have to say!
