Pam,

I completely hear what you are saying. I had this discussion with a friend on Wednesday about understanding our worth. You are important enough to make yourself a priority and it is definitely not a selfish thing. That's why February's challenge is going to do just that: making yourself a priority, especially since it will be Valentine's day. So, be on the look out for it next month! You are definitely worth any effort you put for to making yourself healthier.

I can identify with what you're saying, LADYINMOTION - I am the same way, we tend to get so caught up in everything else that "has to be taken care of" that we forget about ourselves until we are too wiped out to do anything about it.

The hardest part of my journey at times is believing that I am important enough to make me the priority. I schedule everything in my life regarding professional career but I never schedule time for Pam. That changes in 2008. My workouts, my activity time has to be part of my daily planner or it gets pushed aside for other things. This is hard for me.

My biggest obstacle is managing my stress eating. I'm fairly active, but when I get stressed out, I find that I'm eating later at night when I'm not hungry. It totally eliminates all the good work I do earlier in the day.

Given that I'm just beginning my doctoral program, I don't see my stress going away. I need to find better ways to cope!

Wine is my weakness. I love a few glasses after my kids go to bed. I have stopped now because I don't always have the calories left at the end of the day.

Anna I would love to know what products you have used. I am currently taking a chinese herb formula that I just started but I love to see someone getting results with something before I buy it. I had not heard of anything anyone was getting results with so please email me with all the details of what you have been doing. Thank you Monique

My weakness isn't fast food but it's just as bad - junk food! I figure if I have not eaten anything else and I eat junk food, it balances but I know I'm only kidding myself.

Hi guys :-) Steph I'm doing the biggest loser too (it's not just on tv, it's a challenge here at SP too for those who hadn't heard of it) and you're right, it is a big motivation.

My biggest obstacle is alcohol, and eating for pleasure/reward/boredom/ any other excuse!! i am aware of it and trying to focus on it and make progress, i decided this year that i would face my biggest difficulty, in the hope that it would bring the biggest rewards. So far i'm doing well.

great topic, and good luck all!

wanting to be healthy and happy and comfortable in my own clothes and skin : )

You're in The Biggest Loser? When will we see you on TV???

Anyhow, my biggest obstacle is exercise. I just find it so hard to stay motivated to get up off the sofa and work out. And, since my job is sedentary there's no way to really get any exercise in during the day. By the time I get home from work, make dinner, etc, any motivation to exercise I may have had earlier in the day is gone, gone, gone!

Brightest blessings,
Susen

My biggest obstacle, and I hate to admit it, is I am a fast food junkie. I can rationalize stopping at a fast food joint if it was the last $5.00 I have in my purse! I have not eaten out(except Subway once) since I started this on the 7th. And I am pretty proud of myself. It hasn't been easy, but I want to be healthy, and doing that will not get me there!!!

Small goal: 10 lbs by end of September.

The Bible says confession is good for the soul. Please share with us your biggest obstacle with your weight loss journey.

Mine is staying focused and motivated. Right now, I have an incentive. I am participating in a "Biggest Loser" Contest until April. After that contest is completed, I am going to need another incentive. This is my biggest downfall in my weight loss journey including eating the right things.

Please share your confession!

Steph
