Congrats! Much info swirling around in your head right now I'd guess!
Ok. Old music - you can use anything you can get your hands on - whether it's itunes, cds. It's just that you can't get old ZIN volumes, which are ZIN covers (cover tracks of original artist songs OR Zumba original songs) alongside the choreography DVDs. However, if you joined ZIN soon you will have more material than you can process!
You can use world music, but you want to make sure you DO stick to the formula, 70/30 rule, and that you are doing what was taught in the workshop. I HIGHLY recommend joining ZIN ASAP.
I hope you don't mean that you want to teach off random music the gym is playing, that just will not work. You will need to be able to assemble a playlist, including a proper warm up, intermittent center section, and cool down/stretch. That was all outlined in your workshop.
A great DVD to buy if you are a ZIN is Tanya B's warm up/cool down dvd/cd set. It's in the ZIN shop.
