One of the many beauties of Zumba is....there is no right or wrong way to do it!!!! If you are moving and having fun, just keep at it and eventually you'll pick up on the steps. Add your own flavor and keep shaking it!!!

I just started, but I found that one of the things that helps is the right shoes. make sure you are not wearing running shoes or anything that provides a lot traction. I noticed immediate improvement when I switched from running shoes to Nike Musique. I'm still uncoordinated (or at least I'm sure I will be after I start back up when my foot heals), but I was definitely better able to at least keep my feet up with the beat especially while turning and changing directions.
Absolutely! I've been doing Zumba 3x a week for a little over a year -- started off looking confused and pretty much just step-touching through the whole thing. Have fun and stick to it -- it's the only workout I've ever loved!
Yes, I think coordination just comes with lots and lots of practice. Get the DVDs or go on youtube and just watch and practice along.
And most of all have fun. Most of us will never look like our Zumba instructors and when I teach, I know that I don't do things the same way as others but I still have fun!!
Just keep at it and don't worry. Feel sexy and you will be sexy!!! Just don't make faces at yourself in the mirror like I do!!LOL

I just wanted to find out from those of you who have been doing this a while if you find your coordination getting better with time.
I have never really been a physically coordinated individual and sometime it's hard to get the moves right. In your opinion, will this improve with practice or is it one of those skills you are born with?
