When Dr Oz addressed quitting on his show, his website instructed ppl to take ibuprofen. He suggested taking one the night before quitting. Than, increase to one tablet in am and one in pm. I take Advil or generic ibuprofen, which eliminates my cravings and keeps me calm. I can not take Chantix, Welbutrin, etc due to side effects.

LADYCITY.......So awesome and I agree, great strategies for your quit!!! Great choice on lunch too, Subway has many low fat, low sodium, low calorie choices too!!!
Tee......I don't think I have heard of the Advil tip from Dr. Oz, is their any rationale? I am sure the team would love to hear about it!!! Good luck on your quit Tee,

Congratulations on quitting. Wonderful strategies to keep you smoke free. I take Advil at night ( Dr Oz quit tip) to sleep, stay calm and lessen cravings. I also listen to Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking CD. Keep up the good work and success on day two! October 1st is my quit day.

As of midnight last night I quit and let me tell you what a day, day 1 has been but without day 1 there wouldn't be a day 2.
1. I was really aggervated.
2. I didn't get much sleep last night so I slept after my husband left for work.
3. I had a few cravings but managed to bust the suckers at their own game.
It was hard but not too impossible.
We did eat subway instead of our usual burger king for lunch, a nice healthy alternative with light mayo and plenty of veggies. Also stuck to my exercise even though a part of me didn't want to, I said to myself come on it'll help with the cravings which it did.
So onto day 2 as of midnight tonight.
