WOW!! 29 1/2!! I hope Max lives that long, as long as he is not in pain.

I think there is a pretty wide range, but many live 15 or 16 years (unfortunately, where Venture is now emoticon ), I've had them from 11 1/2, 12, 13 1/2, and 15. Venture is 15 1/2 +. He can't hear and, from the incident falling in the window well, I don't think he has night vision. I think he only sees shadows because he will stare at people before he starts barking at them. Then he won't shut up. But he is "guarding" his mom.

You know about Bluey, don't you? He was 29 1/2.

What is the average life expectancy for an ACD? If you had one that passed, how old was he/she when he/she died?

I love my Max so much and with Newfies, they live such a short period of time, 8-10 years. We had one die when he was 7 and it was so hearbreaking. I just want to have many years with my buddy, Max.
