I went and saw another doctor in the office and he would only cut the medicine in half and added Lasix, but I didn't realize my heart was starting to race at that time. The guy was pretty nice and paid for most of my co-pay for the Lasix since I barely had $2.50 anyway. The one thing he wants to do is put me on Simvistatin for cholesterol and I cannot take statin drugs. I told him there was no way. So on the way home I went and got fish and garlic and green onions and I have doubled the Flaxseed Oil I am taking and started in on garlic capsules and cinnamon capsules. I also haven't had any cheese in the last week and except on a deli sandwich yesterday. I had started only eating the 2% milk, but found out that is still high in fat, so I won't eat as much of it. Today I didn't take that new med and I will just try to get my BP somehow and see how I do without it.
The cancer I had was both uterine and ovarian, starting with the first one. The blood tests showed overian, but the biopsy indicated uterine. I have been in remission for almost 5 years.
That is scary about your medicine! Isn't there a doctor that works in the same office you could talk to? Use the internet and look up the medication you are on and what side effects that you should be concerned about.
Can I ask what kind of cancer you have? Are you in remission?
Yes. I thought I was having a heart attack about 7 years ago, but no money to find out. Then I got diabetes and found out I had stage 4 cancer 5 1/2 and 5 years ago.
Currently I have been having dizziness problems which could partly be due to weight. My doctor changed my BP meds and the one she put me on is causing all sorts of fears. My heart has been beating really fast with it, which scares the heck out of me. She is not in the office for another week so I can't get ahold of her.
