I do a lot of fruit and vegetable smoothies and drinks or I do salads with things like beans for protein. I find during the warmer months I am not a big protein eater. I think it is because it is harder to digest. I use to never sleep well during the summer now that I have gotten older a nice nap during the heat of the day is so enjoyable.

As opposed to the winter where I seem to ALWAYS want to eat, especially those "COMFORT" foods, I too have trouble eating when it is really hot. Lately though I've been using my "Ninja" blender and mixing up cold drinks that include lots of fruits & vegetables. Add ice and it makes a cool drink that helps beat the heat too. Since I tend to run low on proteins I've started using whey protein powder to help balance the nutrition. Some days I'm a little low on carbs but this helps me tremendously. I'm the same way. Except, if it's hot, I CAN'T sleep - I have terrible acid reflux and end up throwing up half the night. And the thought of food? Ick! This year, I can add horrible allergies on top of it. So, so not fun!
Why is it that every time it gets hot and sticky i can't eat???? If i can eat it's not much. Why is it that all i can do is sleep???? Why is it i can barely function??? It's almost like having the flue but not for weekds on end. It's terrible. Why is this happening to me????
