I just find it fascinating. He took it off about mid day yesterday and hadn't worn it until this morning. He showed it to me before he put it on and many of the lighter purple had faded away and the darker purple spots had lightened. He put it on this morning and I just got a call from him that the purple is darkening again.

I think I should start studying stones instead of herbs. They seem to be more exciting.

RAVON27 if your class has a different answer be sure to post it. I would love to find out if there's other reasons.

I have been two different reasons jade will change colour are: Jade is like turquoise and is very porous and picks up oils easily which causes it to change. And the other reason is that it picks up the wears energy causing it to change colours.

Jade comes in a multitude of colors... one of which is purple. Really light purple often is pale enough to be white, but when it darkens with contact to skin oils or (as some believe) exposure to one's Chi it will darken to lavender/purple.

I recently bought my husband a jade bracelet. It was light green with white. However, once he started wearing it, some of the white has begun to turn a purple color. I was wondering what this might mean. I have tried to find out on several different websites, but can only find out about the green getting darker or lighter. Can anyone tell me why the the white is turning purple?
