I love incense. I clear my main working room everyday with Copal and Myrrh sometimes combined with Amber or frankincense.

None of the above :D
Yes, I'm a weird pagan. I don't really do candles nor incense. You see, I am scent sensitive AND allergic to smoke. If I am looking to set a mood or incorporate scent into something, I generally use medicinal grade plant oils. Sometimes I wear them, sometimes I put them in a mister I have. Sometimes I even consume them...but only certain ones for certain reasons.

Sandlewood, clean linen, amber rose, and amber vanilla. Just picked up one called "Enchanted Twilight" that's very nice.

normally, my favorite incense is a amber/vanilla blend...but if you can have something saturated in the scents of Curve cologne and dragon's blood, I can act like a cat discovering catnip

There are so many scents I enjoy it's hard to narrow it down, but I believe patchouli, nag-champa, and sage top my incense list. And ocean, coconut, and rain are tops for candles.

I really had to think on this, there are so many I like! My all around favorite incense would have to be dragon's blood. I am very drawn to purple and candles in some shade of it are usually burning in the house. The dragon's blood to me just resonates; it makes me feel calm, balanced and at peace. The same is true for the purple candles. They seem to create the feeling of a sanctuary in my home. Between having a 5 yr old and our pets creating wild energy in the house all day, I need that to dissipate it and restore the balance I want in my home.

My favorite candle is a plain white taper candle. I use it when meditating, and set it in front of the white wall, so that my eyes focus on the flame and shadows, instead of the candle itself. I find that the dancing shadows help me let go of my thoughts and let my mind flow.
My favorite incenses are nag champa and rose. Nag champa just smells so good! Roses are just about the only plant I can keep alive, and I use rose petals, hips, or stems in just about every spell I do, because I feel so close to them. So, the scent of roses and rose incense instantly makes me calm and happy!
Happy, healthy, and a force to be reckoned with.

Since I make stick and cone incense my favorites are dragons blood patchouli, Black berry sage, Astrology and more. I love making it and found that I sooo dislike the Anise incense I make.. It stinks.
I also make loose incense and found that anything with dragons blood it in rocks.

I love the scent of vanilla and lilac combined in oil form. I try to avoid burning incense, because I have a niece that is sensitive to smoke. I have found that when I do burn incenses that I only really need to burn a third of a stick at a time otherwise it's too much for me and still does the job.

It's a tie between Hem Champa and Rose. It's hard to keep a supply of Hem Champa in my house because my husband loves it too. Rose reminds me of my grandmother so I tend to burn it quite a bit as well. I keep a large vase full of a variety of incense on my nightstand. It really depends on my mood as to which one I choose.

It really depends on my mood and the time of year. My daughter burns frankincense in her room a lot, and I do love the way it makes the house smell. Sandelwood and lavender are also high on my list of favorites.

I love burning oils, they are so nice. What's nice about oils is you can have a few drops for a small whiff or you can dumb a lot in and have a stronger aroma about the room.

I really love Nag Champa the best, but I have also been using a lot of a brand called "Ananda Pure Incense" that I ordered from www.magicalomaha.com/anandaincense.htm and I also enjoy HEM Seven Chakras.
I usually get my candles from Hobby Lobby (they burn great and have all kinds of colors and sizes) and Witches Brew, also ordered from the above site, have been a favorite of late. I also like Yankee Candles and Partylite if I'm going for making the house smell like something.
There used to be a place in Chicago called the Athenian Candle Company that sell great candles, but they burned down. Hopefully their website will done soon and we can continue to order from them. They used to make a lot of candles themselves here. www.atheniancandle.com/

Have you tried tea candle oil burners?? Back home I couldn't burn incense often because it aggravated my brother's respiratory system... However, I could burn the same scents in an oil burner (oil diluted in water of course) and no one ever noticed... Something to try?

Dragon's Blood, in candle, resin, powder, stick... I have it all. Also, on cleaning days, I like the smell of a "Fresh Linen" scented candle. But I need to get back to Kohl's for this soy candle that ACTUALLY smelled like Warm Beach Sand. It was so delightful!

My favorite incense is one by Auric Blends (www.auricblends.com) called "Isis".
My second favorite by them is "Sandalwood Rose". Of course, I never shun the staple Nag Champa, either.
As far as candles.....too many to name. There are several companies I use if I want scented ones, but for unscented (for casting or meditation say) there is only one company that never fails me for quality, Soma Luna (www.somaluna.com). THE RICHEST colors, THE SMOOTHEST hand-poured candles, in every size and in about 50 colors. No-brainer.
I probably need to cool it, considering the money I blow on candles.

My favorite scent depends upon what time of day it is. But, I really like the smell of Constant Comment Tea. Probably because it reminds me of my grandmother; it was her favorite tea. I've found that if I mix Bergamot, Bay and Tangerine oils together, I can come very close to the same scent as the tea. That would have to be my favorite, because I can then keep her memory closer.

Dragon's Blood, frankincense, jasmine, and gardenia are my all time favorites. As for candles, one of the local dollar stores sells white emergency candles in six packs for a buck. Great way to stock up on candles. That, and I've been known to comb thrift shops for unburned candles.

Resin on charcoal is my favorite method, Dragon's Blood is one of my favorites, and I also love Frankincense. I'm also fond of sandalwood powder on charcoal, and any blend that contains clove. I love patchouli, but prefer oil or powdered leaves on charcoal to incense. I have yet to find a stick patchouli incense that keeps the integrity of the patchouli when contrasted with the smoke of the bonding materials.

I love everything everyone has mentioned! The fabulous thing about owning an occcult store in the '80s was getting to try some of everything.
My favourite - which I make - is a blend of mastic, cinnamon and mace. It's actually for studying and mental receptivity, and I burned so so much through graduate school, I think it's embedded in every pore.
Sandalwood would be my favourite bark to burn - infinitely soothing for me.
Candle... the seven-day glass ones in botanicas are hard to beat. I used to buy cases at a wholesale market in our beautiful Cuban neighbourhood, and my favourite was the cobalt blue one. I still burn them for the mother of my head, Yemaya.

I love the scent of Sandalwood. It is my absolute fav. With the parrots in the house I can't burn candles or incense, so I practice outside most of the time. If the weather is bad, I pull the car out of the garage. I am building a sacred space beside my house with gardens, a fountain and bird baths. Now...I just need to get the fencing up to separate it from the neighbors and all will be well.

Dipping sage in a bowl of water and sprinkling works very well as an alternative to smudging, imparting the cleansing energy of sage and water. This imparts a very faint fresh sage smell, which is very pleasant, in constrast to the stench of sage smoke.

I'm an odd ball pagan! I don't use incense, and I am very picky about candles. I'm scent sensitive AND allergic to smoke. Lucky me. I substitute Wisdom of the Earth medicinal grade essential oils, which don't bother me. If I want to smudge something with a little sage, I go outside or open all the windows and put on a fan. This is probably why I'm solitary. It's funny the looks I get at pagan gatherings, when I ask for them to go easy incense! :D

Dragon's Blood is my all time favorite, but in my room I end up mixing DB and Strawberry. The combination results in yumminess and a powerful sense of calm.
Just got my first cauldron so I can finally burn DB resin on the charcoal block. Up until now it's been candles or sticks.

Soy wax candles smell so much nicer than paraffin ones. I love the scent of Lemon Verbena!

White candles work for me as they are so versatile I use them a lot. Scent: for me it is lemons I love the fresh clean smell. I use oil burners andLemon Essential oil is lovely it gives off that wonderful aroma of lemons. I also use lemons for cleaning purposes in the kitchen. Insence: I love Sandalwood and Rose inscenes I have found a new one called Eternity and one that is called Meditation. Both are really nice and the 'Meditation' is very good when I meditate.

I love flower scents, especially gardenia, lilac, honeysuckle, and rose. My favorite roses are the Double Delights and the Peace Rose. Different roses have different scents.
We have French lilac and honeysuckle in the back yard. They bloom at the same time, and the scent is positively heady.
I love white candles. I love that they're versatile and something about them when they burn reminds me of winter.
My favorite incense (and oil for that matter) is Lavender with Gardina and Sandalwood running a close second.

I have some loose incense powder blends just named Air, Earth, Fire and Water. Divine !!!!! I'm not sure what the blend ( and I study aromatherapy! ) - but they are all delightful. I make my own soap, used these 4 and named it the Goddess collection .

Sandalwood is my favorite non-blend incense. It has a comforting scent and a type of lustrous, lambent energy that makes me feel good.
Blended: I love Gonesh #6, Perfumes from Ancient Times. Just sumptuous.
Oh, Dragon's Blood. Yes! I've used the essential oil in making intentional oils, but haven't tried the resin as incense.

I like Dragon's Blood resin, burned on charcoal pads. I have a little cauldron with sand in it I use for it. All available at www.phoenixherbcompany.com
I don't know if they are still there, but there was a store in San Francisco that used to make an oil called "Fire of Love" - Patchouli, Tuberose, and Rose. I still have an itty bitty vial that I ADORE and treasure... Kinda surprised there's still any scent to the oil, it's gotta be close to 20 years old (nah, can't be, I'm not that old!)

At a store where I used to do readings, they had a blend of patchouli and amber made especially for the store, which they called "Dragon Smoke". This was my favorite, but I haven't come across it since.
I like Nag Champa, of course, but many incenses give me a headache or other discomfort.

There was a candle they use to make at Yankee Candle called Fireside. It smells like the "church" incense when I was a child. It was the only thing I use to like about church hahaha! I think they stopped making it.
