A wonderful thing about being pagan is that there is no shortage of "right" ways to do things. At the same time there is no "one right way" or "one right time". Anyone who says there is, doesn't really "get it".

Being honest with oneself is key to being honest with others and with Spirit, in whatever form it takes for you. Check inward to see if what you are doing "feels" right and good, regardless of what someone else may say.

Spirit, Nature, the Goddess....can and should be celebrated at any time, always. There is no bad time to express love and gratitude and appreciation for Her many wonders. (Well, it's "Her" for me, because that is right for me.)

I agree. Celebrate when and how you like. Intent is the key. Keep a journal of how you celebrate the holidays each year...it is fun to look back at how you've grown and changed and the tradtions you've created for each holiday.

I am still working at getting a more standard ritual down for the holidays. I am the only one I know in my area following the Egyptian traditions, so I don't have anyone to help me, just the books I can find. But I think it is more fun that way.

Brightest Blessings!

I agree, celebrating is something you do from your heart, not your Tradition. HOW you celebrate, well, don't do something that you think is "over your head", just honor the holiday in the way that feels best.

Celebrate when you feel like celebrating. I use Aoumel's rites as a template as far as the wheel of the year, her book Green Witchcraft is where I started with ritual, I like them but take from them, build on them, make them my own.

Merry meet and welcome to the group. As far as I know you can start celebrating the holidays right away. I don't recall there being any time limit on how much schooling you need. It sometimes helps spending some time reading up on the holiday that you want to start with and spend some time figuring out how you want to go about celebrating it. Brightest blessings and warm hugs.

doing schooling on magicka.com. My question is when can I start celebrating the holidays? Is there a certain time limit?
