Tonight will be my daughter's first ritual. She has been asking to join me for awhile. We will be doing a home blessing / protection as well as honoring our garden for the abundant bounty it provided us this year.
This weekend my daughter will be making her first besom, as we've just finished harvesting and preparing the broom corn for the project.

I harvested plums and apples last Sunday and finally made plum jam (or maybe plum sauce... we'll see how it turns out) last night. I have a little extra that didn't fit in the jars that I will put on my spirit plate (food offering) tonight. I also have some apples left; they're not that great, but I'm going to pick the best one and offer that as well.

I'm 'celebrating' solitary tonight. If it's not raining I will see what I can do about harvesting the onions I planted this spring and probably have a bonfire. I have a mobile that I'm working on, but I'm on my moon so I won't be touching that until later this week. (I suppose it doesn't matter WHEN I finish it, but that I DO finish it.)

My first year 'celebrating' this time of year... Next year maybe I'll have a better plan.

Hehe.. sounds delightful!!

My 'church' and I celebrated Mabon on Sunday! Had a big bon fire and a delightful ritual about change, and faith.

And just had a really great time getting ready for fall!

Any fun activities planned?

I woke up early to spend the sunrise with the baby raccoons outside thus far. I love Mabon because I am a perfectionist and it has equal times day and night.

We had a great harvest this year. Never have our vegetables been so big and beautiful.
