That all sounds good.

One of my favs is to cover an 8 oz block of cream cheese with raspberry chipotle sauce...oooohhhhhaaaah

Your chile con queso y gamon sounds good too, if maybe a bit salty, but one could use unsalted tortilla chips to even it out.

A favorite way to make chili con queso in this area is melted cheese with Ro-Tel (tomatoes and green chilis). Er...some folks use Velveeta instead of real cheese.

mm, that sounds good.

njordgal, I guess that really means I shouldn't post my mom's cream cheese cheddar chili ham dip should I...lmao. I can't even eat it anymore b/c I'm a vegetarian...

1/2 can chopped chilis
1 tub plain cream cheese, softened
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 can hormel "light" ham (hey at least the ham's light)

beat cream cheese with mixer, add in the rest and beat until smooth (can use food processor. Can also break ham up with a fork to help wtih mixing.)

bake at 350 for 25 min or until bubbly and golden on top

I use to do the Jalapeņo jelly over cream cheese but used Waverly crackers or crisp bread.

Hmm, suppose posting fattening and tempting recipes is a bad plan, huh?

DMGoddess, my mother used to do something very similar - cream cheese smothered in Jalapeno jelly served with wheat thins.

that reminds me of a dish my aunt used to bring to family get-togethers. She'd place a .5 pound of cream cheese onto a plate, pour chili sauce on top and then those tiny shrimps ontop of that. Add ritz crackers.

I think yours sounds MUCH better!

Have a beautiful day!

My new snack infatuation ... it's delish!

Take a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese, any flavor I like the herb & garlic

Take either a small packet of or a tablespoon from a jar of picante sauce and spoon over the cheese

Spread on your fav cracker.

MMMMMMMMMMMM!!! Ok so this may not be new but its new to me and I wanted to share emoticon
