Another idea is to put an ad in some of your area newspapers. Something like, "Needed: Great home for a great dog ...." Out area paper has free classifieds. Perhaps there are free classifieds in some of the Boise papers. Again, good luck!

Best wishes finding a good home for Buddy. I live in the Hailey/Sun Valley area. There is an animal shelter here just outside of Hailey who take in animals from families for a fee. Don't know if your situation would qualify with them for taking the dog for free, it might where the dog was basically dumped on you. From all I've heard, it's a great shelter. They never put an animal down.

The name of the shelter is Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley. Phone: 208-788-4351. I kinda wish we were looking for a dog; he sounds like a champ. Good luck!

I'm sorry, I just don't know what else to do. Here's the deal, my family fostered a black lab mix a little over a year ago. My sister in law adopted the dog, fully aware that she was unable to have pets in her rental place but took him anyway (we didn't know) Since then, her landlord found out and my sister in law asked us to take care of the dog for a while until she could take him back. She's now decided that she doesn't want him back and its basically my responsibility to re-home him. Either that or she's just gonna take him to the pound. I really don't wanna see this dog end up in the pound as he's a really good dog. We are just unable to keep him here for very much longer. I'm a stay at home mom to a 2.5yr old and a 3 month old and we've got 2 dogs of our own, Buddy just kinda puts me in over my head. I cannot care for so many ppl/animals at once on my own.....
Buddy would do great with someone who's active or has lots of space to play and what not. He's wonderful with kids and other dogs. I wouldn't want anything in return other than assurance that he'd be in a good home. He'll come with food, bowls, a bed, treats, a leash, training collar and harness. He's very well mannered and knows basic commands. He's a black lab mix, about 3 or 4 yrs old and something like 50lbs.
I live in Melba but would be willing to meet in Boise, Nampa, Kuna, and areas close by.
shoot me an email if you are interested in Buddy or know someone that might be...please, I don't want him to end up in the pound but I just cannot have him at my house for much longer.
