Also, if you use the Nutrition tracker and track everything you eat no matter how small (I track 1-3 Hershey kisses if I eat them). It's a huge help. I've been doing that for years. Good luck!!

Thanks ladies! I really appreciate the responses! It's nice to know I'm not the only one that has days like that.
I found the calorie deficit report, thanks for letting me know about it! I now have a better understanding of how the weight loss process works. Now that I have an idea of how it works maybe I'll be able to make some progress. I really try to eat healthy most of the time, I tend to have problems with portion control and late night snacking.
My hubby actually bought me an air popper for xmas and popcorn is a favorite in the house. I had the same thing in mind for snacking, Actually when I went grocery shopping yesterday, I stocked up on fruits and veggies hoping that since I have a habit of snacking instead of torturing myself and removing the snacking I'd snack on healthy stuff. I've also decided that I can no longer eat past 8pm...hopefully that'll help because I have a habit of snacking up until bed time.
Thanks again!!

I can relate. I have those days when I just can't get enough to eat. I let myself eat as much as I want as long as it is fruits, veggies, low fat popcorn or shelled pumpkin seeds. There have been times when I ate 3 bags of lowfat popcorn throughout the day! It's really filling and lasts a long time.

Thank you!

The choices you make today will determine the path that your life will take.

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

If you follow the 80/20 (or is it 90/10) rule, you are on the right track. Meaning, eat well 80% of the time. By all means, do NOT give up for the whole week or whole day because of one bottomless pit feeling. As soon as you can, go back to eating healthily.

There is a report called calorie deficit, look it up when you think you might need to burn more calories. Cardio is a great way to do it.

Hi there, AADAMS!

I have days like that too... and I understand you, is very frustrating. Anyway, technically, if you burn extra calories you will make up for those extra days... of course, I think depending on what are you eating, it may take even some more minutes (let's say that you are eating a lot of fats, like chocolate), but overall, if you work out more you can eat more without gaining weight.

So don't gave up, you can save your week if you work out more. Maybe go for a longer hike on the weekend, or a few hours riding your bike on the streets, something you can do with your kids... it's not gonna vene look like a workout and it will be burning a lot of extras!

Good luck!

Most days I do really well watching my caloric intake, but I do have days that I feel like a bottomless pit and tend to overeat a bit or eat not so healthy stuff...My question is....the weeks that I have those bottomless pit days, can I do some extra cardio to make up for it? Does it work like that?
If I go over my calories can I work off some extra calories to make up for it? Will it make a difference or have I screwed up my week either way?
