Time to welcome cooler temperatures to our area. I visited Camp Sagawau in the forest preserves for the hummingbird festival earlier and now suggest this area for (short) hiking and bird watching. They have bird feeders set out and I get to see birds that never visit my home feeder off of 103rd. Check the website at:
I haven't been on the forest preserve bike trails this summer. I'm just a casual rider and hate to ride in the traffic around here. I've visited trails off the Midlothian Turnpike around Ridgeland in the spring. Maybe someone else has a suggestion for other easy trails?

I'm in the same spot: staying about the same. I'm back into cardio though, so the numbers will start going down (on the scale and the tape measure)

Just holding my weight -- can't lose and haven't been posting here. As you can see, other groups are much more active. Maybe we should plan a monthly walk in the south suburban or nearby areas ... just post when you'll be there and invite others to show up.

I sure would like to know where everyone is and how they're doing. Seems like we must be active on other teams or have dropped SP altogether. If that's the case, I hope it's cuz we have accomplished our goals and not let our pursuit of healthy living go by the wayside.
Get on here guys and gals, I promise to try to do so more often, too. Do we need a challenge? If so, what suggestions do you have?
I received NO response to my suggestion we try to get together.

As I have mentioned previously, I have hypothyroidism that makes it extremely hard to lose weight. I have even been told that it can be impossible. This has keep me soooooooooo depressed so this year I have decided that I can lose all this weight if I will to do so. It might be harder but nothing is impossible, especially with God. So, out with the negative and on with the positive besides, what is the worse thing that can happen. . . . I can lose inches and become and much more healthier and happier person! Happy New Year Everyone!

I am in the same boat. I get going and stick to my program without a problem then something stresses me out and I get off track. Being on SP has been the best thing. I haven't lost a lot of weight but I fit in my clothes differently. I just can't keep it going and I don't know why. I hope that if I can keep it going long enough it will be second nature and I won't fall off my program. Good Luck.

I have never attended the parade. However, my brother and sister-in-law make it an all day big event every year. They are currently on vacation and will be shocked when they get back to hear this.
Bottom line, it's a shame a few idiots have to spoil it for everyone.

OK. I haven't revised my weight tracker.
I'm going to in the AM to start off the new year with an accurate weight.
I'm SO mad at myself for gaining the weight that I've worked sooo hard to lose!!!

I did not looking this week! I decided to just wait and weight in on saturday! That way if I did bad last week, I wont really know and if I did good then I will be really happy with my weight loss on Jan 3rd.

I did TERRIBLE!!!! Over the holidays (Thanksgiving to today and yes there is still one more holiday to go...) I have gained 4.8 lbs!!! HOLY MOLY!!! The real question is, will I change my weight loss tracker to reflect this or keep it as is and lose the 4.8 lbs... HMMM...
