Got the 2014/15 season off on the right foot. 216, 209 and a 193 for a 618 series. I was especially happy with my 10th frame work -- 29, 28, 29, and marked in the 9th in all 3 games to be able to setup a great 10th!

We bowled a team just establishing their averages, so based on their skill, I figure we had to beat them by 300 pins scratch to win, and we succeeded in that, so hopefully come next week we'll be in 1st with a 4-0 record. But they improved each game so they will be a tougher team the next time we see them in 9 weeks.

Cat, leagues typically have an audit committee of two people who review the treasurer's books, weekly (preferred) or monthly. Also, one of the president's duties is to ensure the books are balanced and all deposits made. If these are not done and there is a theft then USBC bonding may be void. I'd bring up the rule word for word at a meeting and ask for audit committee volunteers, people who have a sense of numbers. -- Lou

The one thing that jumps out to me is we have a gal that doesn't bowl as our sec/treas.
The rules spell out very specifically that the league has to have all officers and the pres has to actually audit the books monthly. None of that happens. We are a small community so things are a bit lax here, but I sure don't like being pres and not knowing about these things before getting drafted into the position. I don't want to upset the status quo or having the liability.
ugh
The rest is minor stuff I can fix next week before bowling, like late arriving bowlers and subs.

Hi all.
Our league meeting was today and we start next Wed.
I am Prez this year and have been reading the USBC rule book. Looks like our little town alley and our league need to all read the rule book.
Looking forward to the season and getting back to regular postings on this team.

We had our league organizational meeting last evening. Looks like maybe 12 teams this year, an increase of 2. This league used to have over 20 teams but many team moved a few years ago to a Monday league that has a much higher prize fund (and is MUCH more competitive). League play starts next Tuesday. Our entire team is back.

One of my teammates and I got in 3 practice games afterwards. Hopefully we can duplicate in league play how we bowled in practice. He had a 692 and I had a 637 (all 200+ games). Only had two blown spares all night...a BIG improvement. It was just nice to have someone to bowl with.

Oh, and still using my heavier ball...

Sad to read of your injuries, Leah, and glad you're feeling good enough to bowl. Good going everyone. Hope you enjoyed Reno, Cat, despite the bowling scores. emoticon Patrick on your outstanding average!

My summer league started poorly until the last four weeks when my average went up eight pins, finishing the league with a 646 and 590 the past two weeks.

Hope to see us all posting more as fall leagues start up again. Meanwhile, be well. -- Lou

emoticon Happy August, everybody! Fall Leagues will begin soon for most of us, I suppose. My Church league has it's formation meeting on August 31. Bowling at Strikers in Rock Hill, SC again this year. Nice lanes and nice people in the pro shop, Bowling Solutions. My DH and I are bowling with the same couple we've bowled with the past two years. We have lots of fun, and that's what counts.
As to the Senior Fun League on Mondays, we are still going every week. I've made friends with my Karma, and am averaging at least 125 most weeks. I am in first place for women, as we enter the 9th week. We go 12 weeks each session, so there may be a miracle will occur if I stay in this position... Good luck, not skill....LOL!
I've had a rough summer with my heel and knee, but I have learned of the benefit of a good knee brace and a great Chiropractor! My "injuries" made me slow down and really concentrate on what I am doing, which is a great gift. I may become a decent bowler after all!
Will be more regular at posting when the Church league begins.

With the 2014/15 season starting in a month, today was a perfect day to get in some practice. I'm running a 10K race tomorrow so was looking to do some less strenuous activities today, and bowling was the ideal choice.

144, 166 and an even 200 for a 510 practice series. Game 1 was all about finding a spot, testing speed, etc. Game 2 and 3 concentrated on form, etc. My "nemesis" pin today was the 4 pin! At least 4 blown spares with that pin!

All in all, not a bad practice session. Next week on Friday they are having a special -- 50 cents a line!! Am planning to be there!

Guess I should confess that I bowled horribly in Reno. Out of nine games I bowled my avg (just over) four games and the other five I bowled between 25-30 below. That's each game that much below.
Last year our team and I did great and this year we bombed.
So go the pins!
At least the trip and the experience were good and I'm still glad I again participated.

Hello all. I have been absent on this team for months. No real reason as I always enjoy hearing of your successes (and not such great play).
Our league season ended a month ago and my team came in 4th out of 10. Okay.
My avg increased from a poor beginning at 142 to 153, where it should have been all along.
This was a strange season for me.

I have been going every other Tues to a lanes some 45 miles from my house to plan Sr no tap. It's always enjoyable and I win a few dollars about half the time. Even the drive over and back is pleasant although costly with the gas prices.

I am also on a spring league that is spread out over Western WA. The finals are in two tiers and in another town. It's always fun.

Heading to Reno to bowl in the Open in a few weeks. This will be my third trip and I am looking forward to it. Our team last year came in 189th out of some 2400+ teams in our division. I am proud of that.
If anyone is interested in watching the USBC webcam I will be in the 3pm team play on June 17th. Don't know what lanes yet so you'll have to search. Team name is Pin Busters.

My plan is post here more often and catch up with you all. emoticon

Payoff night last evening -- no bowling for us, but the 1st place teams from each half had a roll off to crown a season champ. Hopefully next year we'll be in that roll off! Did pocket close to $300 though. Finished with a 196 average, a PR! Will give some thought to a new ball during the summer. But for now the bag goes to the basement for summer hibernation.

Chat with you all in late July...

Very exciting night last evening to wrap up the 2013/14 season. My first game was an extension of last week's miserable finish - a 155! Did something after that game that I rarely (if ever!) do - I switched balls! The one I switched to is my lighter ball, and then the fun began -- 201 and a 236 for a 592 series!

Team-wise, we were in 2nd place going into last night's league play, so we bowled the 1st place team. They had already clinched first place, but the 3rd place team was just one game behind us. But we rose to the occasion, sweeping the 4 games from the 1st place team, which was good b/c the 3rd place team did the same, so we finished the season in 2nd place! Next Tuesday is payouts, so we should do pretty good.

A great way to finish the season!

OK, so this week I decided not to practice before league play. Results: 247, 216 and a stinking 154 for 617 series. The spot I had in games 1 and 2 just vanished! And our team continued its downward spiral, dropping 3 out of 4! One more week and then we are done for the season. Can't get here fast enough! Hopefully we'll still be in 2nd place going into next week's position round.

Tuesday evening results: 168 (BLAH!), 234 (YEA!), and a 179 (HMMMM!) for a 581 series. Yep, all over the place! Could not find a decent spot in game 1 plus some easy missed spares cost me. Game 2: found the spot! Game 3: where did the spot go?? Thankfully I found it in the 8th. I was at a whooping 99 through 7, 10 pin spare in the 8th, then punched out to salvage the game. Team-wise, we split, though we pulled off another Houdini act by rallying from 47 pins down in the 10th of game 3 to gain the split. 3 of of the 5 of us struck out in the 10th to reel in the win.

Yes, indeed, emoticon on your 600 series.
*******
That game three must have been an exciting one, Patrick. Good news that your team is still hanging close to first place.
*******
I have been involved in a book edit for the past month and apologize for not posting sooner. Scores have increased somewhat with a newer ball and working on timing -- starting the ball in motion sooner -- but I am still missing simple spares, often one pin ones. Converting those with more concentration on those shots will be a priority the last few weeks and this summer.

Last four weeks:

4/25: 194-192-179 = 565, raised average a pin. Team = 4-3, in the middle of the standings.

4/18: 158-219-188 = 565. Team 7-0.

4/11: 166-168-167 = 501. Team 5-2.

4/4: 172-159-150 = 481, dropped average a pin. Team 7-0.
********
The league I bowled in for several years until this year is moving to the current center I bowl in because Bowlmor/AMF is closing Semoran lanes here in Orlando (and a sister center in the county north of this one) after the last night of league. The payout/summer meeting will be the next week at the new center for the league. It'll bowl there through the fall on Thursdays. I'd like to rejoin it but don't want to bowl on consecutive Thursday and Friday nights. Maybe rejoin it for this summer since the current league does not bowl in summer and then see how things are in the fall.
*******
Be well. Don't forget the two games that have been started and let me know if you think of others we can try. Thanks. -- Lou

Tough night last evening. My scores: 215, 195, 169 for a 579 series. Oil really started to break down late in the 2nd game and the 3rd game I was clueless on where to throw! Team fared no better, dropping all 4 to the team we were tied for 1st place with! Not bowling next week as DW and I have a dinner to go to (her work), so hopefully my sub can help get the team back on track!

Last Sunday went well for me. I think I finally got used to my ACL brace. I bowled a 166, 219 and 218, for a 603. I was pretty excited. I even won some bracket money!

Last evening's league play: 182, 185, and a 214 (clean game) for a 581 series. 10 ping gave me trouble in games 1 and 2. Finally started converting them in game 3.

Speaking of game, lots of excitement and drama. Team lost game 1 by 35, won by 50 in game 2, so all we needed to do was win game 3 to capture 3 out of 4. Things were not going well, though. Other team had a couple hot bowlers and we found ourselves down by 60 going into the 10th. Well, we pulled one out, getting 129 pins in the 10th while the other team collapsed like a house of cards! We heard that the first place team lost 3 out of 4, so we should either be tied or be in first place going into next week!

Got in a nice 596 practice set today (169, 211, 216). I tried using my lighter ball in the first game but it is just not carrying, so switched in the 6th frame to the heavier ball and had much better results. Also found a more effective position for my recently acquired elbow brace, so I think I am all set for league play next Tuesday.

One of my teammates texted me while I was traveling -- my team lost 3 out of 4 last night! Probably slipped back to 2nd place unless the team we were tied with for first had an equally bad night. From what my teammate told me, the other team had some VERY hot bowlers -- 2 of which had perfect games going into the 7th frame of the 3rd game. That is tough to beat!

Had to stay out in Arizona an extra day, so won't be bowling tonight, which is just as well given I did not get in any practice this week. Will plan to get the lanes on Friday for a practice session and back to league play next week.

Tonight we bowled alone; opposing team will post bowl next Wed. We think from our scores and the handicap difference we may have won two games but we'll see.

Started slow with three missed spares and a split but finished with two clean games: 146-214-200 = 560, held average.

Have arranged for lessons and videotape to start again next week. Hope it helps get me back to where I expected to be. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. emoticon -- Lou

Last Friday had 167-206-151 = 529, team won 5 of 7. Three splits and three missed spares. Frustrating.

But not as frustrating as the results in our annual city tournament last weekend. Started team over average -- 203, then the other two games and six games in doubles and singles didn't come within 40 pins of average. Worst tournament ever. Lessons planned for next week. -- Lou

Tuesday evening league scores: 186 220 189 for a 595 series. Good news: 19 strikes. Bad news: a whopping 9 splits! I did convert a 4-9, and I think at least 2 of the other ones was on the last ball of the 10th when I would not even get a chance to convert. Team had a great night, winning all 4 to pull into a 1st place tie!

Got in a nice 4 game practice set today. Total of 694 pins (173.5). A few too many splits, really struggled to find a good strike line. But it was practice and hopefully it will result in a good set during league play next Tuesday.

In the past few weeks I have cut down the number of splits and have been 5 of 5 converting splits the last two weeks. But I continue costing myself 600+ series with missed spares (non-splits). Last Friday missed two 10-pins and chopped a pin off 5 easy spares -- the 4 off the 4-7. 6 off a 6-10 and so on that could have pushed me over 600 again. Tonight I'll concentrate even more on converting spares, always in the past a strong part of my game.

Last week team was 2-5 dropping to tie for 13th of 24 teams. 203-166-185 = 554, raised average a pin.

League tonight then team event in annual city tournament with doubles and singles on Sunday.

Tuesday evening league play: 202, 235, and a 192 for a 629 series. Good line all evening, started out on the 12th board and moved to the 11th when the oil started breaking down in the 3rd game. Only had 4 misses, but they were all easy ones so disappointed there, especially the two easy ones in game 2 after starting the game with 6 straight strikes. Easily in the 250's if I convert those two spares!

Team won 3 out of 4 against the 4th place team. 1st place team also won 3 out of 4 so we remain 2 games back.

emoticon Everybody!!!
I'm having computer/internet connection issues, so I am just doing basic posting right now. PC issues seem resolved, Verizon has the problem now. Getting it resolved, although I am beginning to feel I know more than the techs I've gotten hooked up with. So that isn't saying much if I know more...LOL! Trying out 3 browsers to find what I like best. DO like the techs at Geek Squad.
Hope your weekend is good! I have Church league tonight. I'm consistently around 140 each game now. Much improvement for me!

Got in a practice set today -- 599. Was nice to be able to experiment with various starting spots, etc. Briefly found a sweet spot throwing from the 5th board, which is HIGHLY adventurous for me. Only had two missed spares over 3 games -- a 10 pin in the first frame of the first game, and a 4-9 split in the 4th frame of the second. Overall a good session!

A scrappy night for me last evening -- 179, 194, and a 283 for a 555 series. 6 splits really drug down my scores. Thankfully team scores were better and we won 3 out of 4 from the first place team!

Two pre-league practice games were 210 and 149. Team was only 2-5 and likely about 12-14th in standings of 24 teams. Strange thing happened tonight. I've posted about all the splits I've had every week except one. Tonight had three more but picked them all up! Two baby splits 3-10s and one 9-10. But did have two missed spares each of the first two games -- two 10-pins and one 6-10.

Had 199-166-229 = 594, three pins shy of raising average a pin. I'm happy with tonight. -- Lou

Tuesday evening league scores: 224, 165, and a 238 for a 627 series. Average should move up a pin to 196. 3 splits in the 2nd game ruined that game -- otherwise had a good track most of the evening with 20 strikes and 10 spares. Only had 4 opens, and all of them were splits!

Team won 3 of 4. One of my teammates had his best series ever with a 757! The 3rd game was a slugfest -- we won 1230-1215!! That is an average score of 244.5 per bowler! (includes handicap), but gives you an idea that the pins were flying!

While I like what my heavier ball is doing, it is giving me some pain in my elbow, so one of my teammates is bringing in an elbow brace that he has to see if it alleviates the pain. I'm OK during the game (once I get warmed up), but it is hurting today.

I'm very pleased with my bowling today! 148-143-157=448 With my handicap I had 622. I missed spares I shouldn't have, but was comfortable with the Karma. I found where I needed to stand, and kept focused on my mark. The problem was not consistently releasing it the same way. Learned about how it should feel when it comes off my hand. By the third game, I had an idea what I was doing. I finished with 5 strikes. I shall not complain!!! LOL!

Ah, Lou! Thank you! I understand that concept! There are some women in the Church league that deliver the ball that way.
I had a good night tonight. 136-144-149=429. Good average for me... I hope I do this well on Monday! We won all three games and the pin count tonight, too. Solid wins each time. We have three more nights to go. I will miss it. DH and I haven't decided if we want to do the no-tap this summer. I may just try to practice each week on my own for the summer.

That's true, Leah, about the backup ball but in this context it means a ball that is delivered so it curves to a bowler's strong hand. For example, a typical hook for a right-handed bowler is from right to left. If that bowler rolls a backup ball, the ball will curve left to right. This is accomplished by rotating the bowling hand to the right at release, with the thumb starting at maybe the 9:00 position then turning to the right to about 3:00. Many women roll this type of shot but the strain of the unnatural rotation of the hand and arm is tremendous on the elbow. -- Lou

We have our Church league today. I hope I can repeat my last Senior league scores... who knows? No practice for me lately, but I'll go with the flow.
Glad to see everyone is well.
OK, what IS a backup ball? I thought it was your "extra" ball you used only to get spares?
Hard to believe it is March! We had 12" of snow, then 70 weather. What next? LOL!

Marly, many pros use a backup ball for certain spares so I guess for strike shots would be okay, too. I'm currently inactive from the PBA but if you write them, they'll tell you -- www.pba.com . Patrick is right about the stress a backup puts on an arm. It's not a natural motion. That said, we have a right-handed backup ball bowler here in Orlando who's averaging in the high 190s, but that is rare.
*******
I read all of your posts but I forgot to update last week's session. Two practice games before league: 159, changed balls emoticon then 234. In league for the first time this year I had no splits but missed eight spares. 203-168-154 = 525. Held average. Team went 4-3, moving us into a five way tie for 7th of 24 teams.
*******
Last Sunday's practice scores: 172-182-233-185-205-199 = 1174 = 195.6 average. Worked on arm swing.
*******
Tonight's practice: 155-168. Back cramped really bad.

League tonight started great though with a clean 234 game, then 172 and 172 = 578 = 192 average. Raised average a pin. Team won 3 of 7 from first place team. Should still be in top 10 of standings.

MARLY314, I don't think there is any rule in the PBA about a backup ball being illegal. I would wonder what sort of stress that would put on an arm after a while though?

OK, my scores from last night: 169 (ugh!), 225 (yea!), and a 196 for 591 series. The foirst game was going along Ok until I opened in the 8th and 9th. Could not string any strikes together that game. Moved one board to the right in game 2 and much better results. Game 3 should have been 200+ except for a stubborn 9 pin on my first ball in the 10th!!

Team won 3 out of 4 to close within 2 games of first place team, who lost 3 out of 4! Also, we set a season high score in the 2nd game of 1200 pins scratch and 1288 with handicap (240 and 257 average, respectively!). That was one awesome game. My 225 was the "low" score!

My son wants to know if its legal throwing backup balls in pro-bowling.His average is around 193. I bowled against him last Tue. He's been trying to help several of us to get better. He swapped out his teammate (out tattooist) for a bowling ball and lessons. He told me to stand back further, take larger and faster steps, and to keep hand under the ball. His first game was good--232 and mine was 167. I beat him second game with 152, and my last was 144--good games for me. Others were getting a lot of splits--usual for our alley.

"Que Sera, Sera" What will be, Will be.

Feel your emotion, don't feed your emotion.

(For my bowling)...The only difference between try and triumph is a little umph!

We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

I'm so sorry, Lou!
We were invited to bowl in a summer league last year, but we were told we would have to "overlook" the way the other teams would swear and drink. I don't mind having a beer or a drink, as it is a social outing and I've been known to sip on a glass of wine the whole evening every once and awhile... But misuse of alcohol and foul mouths I will not tolerate. So, I guess I am picky about who I bowl with... When we saw the "names" of the teams already signed up, we decided there were too many red flags, and appreciated the offer but turned it down. I like to have fun, but I want to remember what I did to do it! LOL!
Hope everyone is having a good week... we were 78 here today... last week we were getting 12" of snow... go figure!
Happy Bowling! emoticon

That is a shame Lou. It's one thing to have a good time, a whole other to just get totally wasted. If that is what they want to do, then they need to skip the bowling part and just head to the bar. Here's hoping they figure it out and get back to bowling...

Wow again at all of your excellent bowling! emoticon everyone!
*******
Last Friday started out with teammates spilling their pitcher of beer in the settee area then later spilling their shots there, too. After the first spill I sat by myself at a back table. The past few weeks my teammates have all started drinking heavily then getting belligerent and loud and taking up to 10 minutes to get up and bowl when it's their turn. Consequently, that and our opponents drinking and running around talking to people down the lanes, made us the last ones to finish, 20 minutes after everyone else. The center was late getting the lanes ready for the following cosmic bowling and were irritated we took so long.

In practice I had 186-207 with several open frames but timing was again good. Then, after the drinking and spilling got started and the delays, i lost it, big time.

134 (3 missed splits, 2 missed spares)
113 (3 missed splits, 4 missed spares)
195 (3 missed spares)
for 442, dropping average two pins. Not looking forward to the last two months with this team. -- Lou

Was not able to bowl in league play last week due to an eye infection. No practice either, so went into last night's league play "cold". In spite of that, had an OK night -- 180, 211, and another 211 for a 602 series. A few too many easy spares missed, but the heavier ball did get the strike count up (18 for the 3 game set). Team won 3 out of 4, and it was exciting -- we split the first two, and we were down a good 60 pins midway through the 3rd game -- and that is when I ripped 4 in a row to help the team nail down the 3rd game! That felt great!

At least for today, I have made peace with the Karma... my best series EVER! 137-187-170=494!!! No pain in fingers, I found my mark and where to stand today. I hope I learned something and can put it into practice the next time I bowl. It helped that DH was six lanes away, too...

Saturday night's scores... 129-121-123. Not great, but not too bad, either! I have not found my place with the Karma, but my T-Zone and I are doing well. I used the Karma as my first ball, then got the spares with the T-Zone. I just haven't practiced in awhile, and it shows!
Our team lost the first game by 2 pins, and won the next two games nicely. We won total points, too. Overall, a nice evening. Best part is we laughed and had a blast!
May everyone have a relaxing Sunday! Renew your Spark spirit!

I hope you have a good night tonight, Patrick!
DH and I decided to forgo bowling yesterday. I have scrunched my weekly clients into one day at the salon... today. We are supposed to have snow flurries today, and heavy snow beginning tonight. This means I probably won't get into work this week. I only work Wednesday through Friday anyway, so snow is a four letter word to me this week! LOL! I'll earn enough to pay my "space" rent today, so I am OK. Nothing I can do about the weather anyway... so might as well enjoy the break!
Perhaps I will Wii bowl... DH doesn't approve, but hey! It's exercise! I have walked on the treadmill for 3 days in a row now, and tomorrow will be my 100th day in my "signing in" SP streak. I'm making progress!
Lou, you are right! There is ALWAYS HOPE!!! Even when we do not see clearly... emoticon

Ddi get some practice in on Friday -- 169. 169, and a 202. Did not get a sense that my heavier ball was working much better than my lighter ball, but decided I will go with the heavier ball on Tuesday league play. The one thing that the heavier ball was doing was helping me be more consistent with my 10 pin spares -- made all of them with the heavier ball.

I had hoped timing was getting better and that scores would continue showing improvement. As mentioned in my last post, getting 5-7 splits and a couple of missed spares a night costs 100+ pins each series.

Tonight, two games of practice before league = 220 and 189. Timing felt great.

In league, team went 2-5. I started games 1 and 2 with the first 4 strikes and game 3 with two. Only had one split (7-10) and three missed spares (two 10-pins and chopping the 7 off 4-7). As a result, scores were higher: 246-201-191 = 638, raised average just under two pins. High game of the year so far for me and the first 600 series. Fourth week in a row each series was higher than the week before. Maybe things are turning around. emoticon -- Lou

emoticon on the weight loss, Leah, and on never losing the sense of fun, even when scores are below what we expect. Patrick, I've been having the same problem -- splits, missing easy spares and not stringing strikes to make up for the open frames. Every week I lose 100 or more pins because of that.

Last Friday practice before league had two 214 games. In league, same problem -- five splits and six missed spares, costing about 120 pins on series. 154-227-159 = 540, kept average. Team was 4-3 and is tied for 7th of 24 teams. Will concentrate more on spares and keeping speed on the ball to try to avoid so many splits where the ball looks as if it is going to blast the pocket only to hook an extra foot or so and hit the nose, leaving a split. There is always hope. emoticon emoticon emoticon -- Lou

I haven't bowled this week... may not get to until next Monday. I really miss it when I can't get to the lanes... results from last Saturday night haven't been posted yet. With only winning one game, I doubt if we moved in the standings, perhaps went down one. We'll see!
Hope everyone is staying warm... what weird weather we are having!

196, 176, 181 for a 553 series. Highlight of the evening for me was converting a 4/10 split! Only had 5 opens all night, one being a nearly impossible split. Was so-so on 10 pin conversion -- I think 3 for 6. Just not stringing any strikes together at the moment. I may test out my heavier ball in my next practice session to see if I can change that issue.

Tough night for the team -- lost all 4 to the 1st place team. We were giving up a whopping 270 pins of handicap, and while we bowled OK, they had two bowlers that had great nights, and that is a bad combo! Oh well, always next week!

We only won one game last night... depending on how everyone else did, we are in 7th place out of 13 teams.
I was not too good, but I still have a good time, and that is why I am there! 96-136-105. I can not expect to do well when I am very tired before I even get to the lanes...
One the good side, my new eating plan has been working very well, and it appears the meds have lost their hold on my weight... I've lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks. I am eating very balanced and feel SO much better! I still have 24 pounds to go to where I was before the bad med turn. I have hope that I will achieve my goal, and have found that food DOES affect my RA. I'm learning what to avoid, and my pain is better! emoticon
May everyone have a great week!

Wow, some good scores this week. emoticon !

For those of you who live in cold weather areas, remember to take your bowling balls during bowling sessions. A cold or frozen bowling ball can split and shatter when it hits a lane.

Last Friday team went 2-5 but are still tied for 6th place. Like Patrick, splits (7 of them) and missed easy spares (2 of those) continue to keep scores down: 182-178-161 = 521, held average.

Off night for me on Tuesday -- 178, 190, and a 164 for a 532 series. Too many splits and too many easy spares (yep the 10 pin!) missed. Planning to practice on Friday.

On a positive note, the team bowled well and we won all 4 games, and I won the 50/50 pot!!

So Sunday was good. 154, 202 and 200. I'm still having some trouble with my timing. It's kind of weird. I might end up with a higher average than I had before my surgery.

WOW! What a great series!
I was consistant yesterday at seniors... 109-105-115. Not my average, but I was more comfortable with the Karma. Last night I bowled 11 games... it was Monday Dollar Mania, so I couldn't resist... nine games 120 or more, one 130, 135. I was good with it.
Could get our first snow today. I'm going to give my house a once over and read a bit today.
Hope everyone's week is going well!

Good going everyone! emoticon

Last Friday was another frustrating night for me. Sounds like a broken record I know. Learned another thing I'm doing wrong -- not lifting the ball toward my mark but setting it down at the foul-line as a result of turning the ball early. Somehow I got away from "thumb up, palm toward the ceiling, elbow behind the ball." But we keep trying, don't we?

188-162-160 = 510, kept average. Good news -- team went 4-3 and is tied for 5th place of 24 teams.
