I love that salad in a jar idea, too. I may have to find one of those gadgets! Thanks for the link.
We save containers and jars, too. Often we use them to share food with family members. We also store leftovers/freeze in them.

I just love the idea of salad in a jar. I am definitely going to experiment. I signed up for a CSA next year and can'd wait to use it then.

I try and reuse anything glass. Everything else gets in the recycle bin.
We are lucky our town over the last few years earned enough money from the recycling small tote bins to now give us bins on wheels to encourage even more recycling.
I just want to say that the screw on spaghetti sauce mason type jars are amazing, please check out this site.

I reuse alot of my containers for various things. It all depends on the size of the container and if I can thing of anything. We don't have any recycling that is near us. The only one around you have to pay to recycle and that's something I cannot do because my income is stretched to the max and by mid month I'm broke (if it lasts that long) after all the bills.

There are times that this town had curbside recycling. Save money on gas traveling out of town to do the recycling.

There are a few towns around here that have curb side recycling but we don't. We don't have the funds to do it.

We have curb-side recycle pick-up, so I usually have more recycle items than I do garbage!

This is a small town and we have a recycling bins north of town and the recycling company comes and gets it. But it's always full and they don't have as many bins to put all that we have to recycle.

We recycle what we can but I have to go to several locations to drop them off. The grocery stores will take plastic bags and egg cartons and we have centers that will take newspapers, magazines, milk jugs, etc.

I reuse as much as I can and recycle the rest. Luckily we have curb-side pick-up of recyclable items which makes it easier to recycle.

I recycle as much as I can, my local council collects recyclables once every two weeks for free.

All of the above.....I have a daycare so we often use them for art projects. Of course you can only have so many before you become overwhelmed with them so some of them get washed out and used in my kitchen and the rest get washed out and recycled.
If it is to be, it is up to me!

When you bring home containers that had food in them or any other products from Save-A-Lot and Aldi's, do you recycle or throw away the containers? Or do you reuse the containers in your home?
