When I recieved my disablilty rating from the Army and VA it was fairly quick however my MEB was done in November 2001 and I got my rating and discharge in May 2002 and they were in a hurry to fill my slot with that of a deployable soldier. That being said, I have a friend here who is still pending his MEB rating and such (his started a month ago). He is currently on a 90 day extention and they can continue to "extend" him up to 280 days while they "make their determination". I'm sorry and I'm sure that doesn't help you out very much. Not sure if your husband is only waiting on the Army to make a decision or both the Army and the VA. The VA is terribly back-logged. Over the past year I have had multiple issues with them and their response is always "we are really back-logged so I can't give you an exact answer". Good luck and I really hope that you get the answers you need soon.

I'm sorry I don't know!

I'll make this short, does anyone know the average time to get a disability rating from the
Army? Also, if anyone has any experience in their spouse receiving a disability rating, is it retro active pay from the last day he worked in the military? You would think after serving 31 years in the army reserve and doing five tours they would be a little more attentive to his financial and physical needs. I really disappointed how his career ended : (
